New Beginnings
So I've tried to start rowing blogs in the past, but seeing as it wasn't my primary blog I found it eternally frustrating to post. So I decided to start a whole new tumblr and make this my primary blog.
A little bit about myself: I'm 18 years old and have just started my first year at Auckland University in New Zealand. I'm studying a Bachelor of Science majoring in Statistics and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Classical Studies.
Recently I finished my fourth season of rowing. The sport has been such a prominent feature in my life that I'm finding it hard to cope with being away from it while I'm studying. I've rowed for Western Heights High School in Rotorua throughout my schooling years. I medaled every year, but my 2013 season was easily my best. The crew I was rowing in went through a lot of ups and downs together, and 2 weeks out from Nationals (Maadi Cup) we weren't even going to race. But we pulled through in the end and got Gold in the U17 Quad. That same season I was selected to trial for the North Island U18 Rowing Team and ended up making it into the U18 Quad and Double. Such an amazing experience with amazing coaches and people.
Well enough about myself, I'm just going to get to posting.
