Mabel's Need for Speed (Headcanon)

Brainrot on this woman, bUT LISTEN TO ME. LISTEN.

I have a feeling that Mabel's ability to drive is more than just getting somewhere quick. How I interpret her character it seems to me like she enjoys the feeling of adrenaline coursing through her vein; she enjoys the speed, the adventurous nature of it. The thrill of it is intoxicating to her and she seems to flirt with it a lot -- being a daredevil in general. Like she is completely confident behind the wheel and in total control of everything.

If she had a past of street racing I wouldn't be surprised.

who's top and who's bottom between Mabel and reader?

Mabel has more tendency to be a dominant, be it top or bottom, than you. Hear me out!

Mabel gets what she wants, she's straight to the point. To me, it seems like she enjoys the presence of someone who can work off of her and follow her lead, but isn't afraid to lead the way when she doesn't want to. You're reliable and up to the task. So, Mabel enjoys topping you, being the one initiating stuff -- but Mabel also enjoys that you hold your own ground if she wants it.

Note that I say 'Tendency' because let us be real that woman LOVES to be worshipped and adores when you worship her extensively. Sometimes, she's in a special mood where she wants to receive and not give orders.

So yeah, heavy lean on dominant!

Mabel and her mother (Headcanon)

We see that Mabel craves to find a new path for her life, away from what her mother is and the people she hangs out with. However, Mabel continues to come back to her mother one way or another and -- presumably -- once did errands for her.

Why is this?

In one of the fics I'm writing I encountered this idea, and from looking at the movie it sounds very much like her mother perpetually owes Mabel and manipulates her to keep her around and coming back. Like a thorn she cannot remove. Is it because she needs Mabel around for her benefit or because she's afraid that Mabel might actually be the one to break the cycle? Or maybe it's genuine fear that Mabel may forever forget her and move on to bigger and better things without her.

We never get this explored further in the movie, but Mabel very likely wants to leave her mother behind and move on with her life but can't. Be it because she deep down inside loves her mother like any child would, or because she is afraid of leaving her little sister behind, we never even get any indication of this.

I would dare to say it is both. One is a conscious decision, not wanting to leave her sister behind. The other one is a subconscious attachment that she even seems unaware of. There is also the possibility that, like in the movie, the people who she deals with (begrudgingly) get her to come back to her mother's apartment.

It's an interesting story that I am sad the movie didn't explore more, but that's what I'm here for.

I don't think so, though? Like she may have a moderate-to-high libido but like I doubt that she is into the freakier shit -- at least not at first glance or the first few times you are with her.

The most, I believe, is semi-public/public sex and that is merely because she's a thrill seeker. Otherwise, she seems to stick to vanilla!

Mabel’s got a lot of complicated feelings about what happened over the summer. Not just with Weirdmageddon, but with the Mabel-verse, what happened with the puppet show...

In a lot of ways, she feels like she let Dipper down. To a further extent her Grunkles (mainly with Weirdmageddon), but it’s mostly Dipper. Everything turned out fine in the end, but what if it hadn’t? What if the world had really ended because of her wanting to have a bit more summer? Or what if Bill had ended up killing Dipper after the puppet show because of her inability to take the situation seriously?

She doesn’t tell Dipper about a lot of these lingering worries, but they’re always at the back of her mind. And it pushes her to try and avoid going to Dipper with any concerns that she thinks she can handle on her own. He shouldn’t have to put down everything he’s doing to help her out.

Last thing she needs is to be a burden on him. Or to be someone that would make Bill blush with her selfishness (her thought process, not the muse’s).

...Little does she know that Dipper likely doesn’t think that way at all, and her fears are completely unfounded and she’s not a bad person for reacting to certain situations like a normal human being. She has her flaws, and sure, maybe her selfish moments, but she’s far from being someone like Bill.

Still...thirteen-year-old brains are far from rational and usually riddled with anxiety.)

What hogwarts house would Mabel be in? Just wondering!

Mabel is a Hufflepuff, through and through! Her secondary house is Gryffindor, however, due to her reckless tendancies- but her big heart, loyalty to her family, and determination to protect others wins out!

Okay, five details for Mabel in a BatB AU. Go!

1. Because of the war, her parents felt her and Dipper would be safer in the small village in which their Great Uncle lives

2. She, like most other women in the village, has a significantly large crush on Gaston. And she hates herself for it. Despite this, she is close with Belle (Dipper , in turn, has a crush on Belle). 

3. Dipper became suspicious about a rumoured nearby castle, and although she took some convincing, Mabel followed her brother ahead of the mob, attempt to warn the castle’s inhabitants. 

4. One of the Castle’s inhabitants turned out to be her second great uncle, who was believed missing. Despite a shaking relationship between Stanley and Fors, Mabel and Dipper were delighted with this new edition to their family.

5. Following the enchantment’s resolution, Mabel regularly visited the castle in order to see Belle, and became closed with Madame (who taught her the finer elements of fashion), and Lumiere.
