It’s Spring time and almost Summer time, it is even time that we can ditch the jackets and dark lipsticks. Here are my favourite products for highlighting and getting that nice summertime glow. Messing around with some products I was able to nail down a routine that I love and is my go-to for all glowing purposes.
First things first I use the Etre Belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll On, it is a gift from the gods. You roll it onto your eyes, (first thing in the morning this gets rid of dark eye bags) and it firms the skin and instantly smoothes and refreshes the area around your eyes; you will no longer look tired but instead look like a revitalized bunny. The gel leaves your eyes looking fresh and radiant. Perfect first step in s glowing routine.
The LA Girl Pro Concealers are actually the best thing to happen to my make up collection. The consistency is so good that it never feels too heavy or watery or lightweight. They have quite a big range for skin tones also so that is perfect for me and women with darker skin tones. After concealing and putting on my foundation I use the yellow skin corrector concealer to highlight my nose, chin, and cheekbones. This acts a a base for the rest of my make up that will highlight those areas.
After my foundation is all done and before I start highlighting properly I use my Essence Compact Powder to set everything. The powder is very light and it is made up of a variety of colours. The best thing is that it is illuminating, the powder glows and rather than finishing with a matte foundation finish, it leaves you with a nice dewy glowing foundation finish.
Next thing to do after you’ve contoured, is use the MAC bronzer which is not overpowering at all. It adds a subtle glow in to your contour and can really be used all over just to emphasise any dewyness. After that I have a choice of two of my favourite highlighters. One is the So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter Pencil and the Topshop Yellowish Highlighters. The first is perfect for a less dramatic highlight and perfect for on the go as it comes in a little roll up stick. The second is great for the dramatic look, so that people can see it from miles away haha. The highlighter comes in a peachy colour and a yellow colour so you can match to your undertones. This Topshop highlighter is my favourite product out them all and it really brings the life and soul to the party!
