hoshiai no sora !! (eng name stars align) its abt a middle school boys soft tennis team, pretty sweet and cute but also deals a lot w themes of abuse and exploring the nuances of different types of family dynamics. sadly it was cut short by the studios executives after 12 of the 24 planned episodes but what we do have is really fucking good. also u may have heard abt it having canon gay and trans characters and yes it does ❤ its not a main theme but there are a couple episodes that focus on it and they're good

mephiles- favorite villain?

HMMM...honestly i think mephiles himself is a very cool concept! i was kind of struggling thinking about this one because i feel like a lot of the main sonic villains are pretty effective at being good villains BUT then i remembered gerald robotnik i think he has to be my favorite villain. especially because being a villain wasnt his original intention in the first place. his story is just very intriguing to me i love seeing how he snapped and how he took that out on shadow as a result...AAGH i really wish we could have seen more of shadow's reaction in sa2 itself to finding out he was manipulated like that. gerald's motive is just a really good addition to the story in sa2 i think

shadow- favorite character?

KNUCKLES! hands down he's my favorite character in the series. i love his progression from being a complete loner to slowly becoming sonic's closest friend as the games progress (especially from sa1 to heroes i would say) :') and also im so obsessed with the echidna lore i think its really cool...i feel like all sonic fans have one particular thing they have the brainrot about and mine is anything relating to angel island and echidna culture. his story genuinely makes me so sad sometimes HE LOST SO MUCH...there's always gonna be that aspect of no one truly understanding the loss he's been through because he's the last of his kind but he still keeps going and learns to open up and trust others. AUGH. so good. and just from a gameplay standpoint it is so badass to play as him i love flying and punching things. also one of the few sonic characters who is explicitly not white...always a bonus
