●概要 女性ボーカル「emaru」と作曲家「アサヒ」によるエレクトロニカ·ユニット。歌詞の音響的機能を研究し取り入れたポップな楽曲を制作し、演奏している。 ●特徴 ·歌詞の音響的機能を研究したポップな楽曲と、フェミニンな歌声が特徴 ·秋山ボブ大知による、複雑系科学などのアルゴリズムを取り入れたライブエレクトロニクスの手法でのパフォーマンスや、音声合成技術を取り入れた楽曲を発表 ·MVやライブでは、W杯1位経験を持つ木石南によるカンフーとの融合が見られる ·現代音楽とのコラボレーションもあり、またアサヒは木石岳名義で理論書『優しい現代音楽の作曲法』を刊行 ·これまで知久寿焼（たま）など様々なアーティストがmacaroomへの共感を公言しており、イラストレーターの中村佑介はmacaroomを「有機的なエレクトロニカ」と命名。文学界にもその名は知られており、小説家の高橋源一郎はmacaroomサウンドを「未来の記憶」と形容。

Burning Chrome, Macaroom (2024)

Burning Chrome is airy, liminal and features Macaroom’s most forthright attempts at pop thus far, though one misses when the project’s sound was more coherent, and thus more profound. Individual tracks here are pleasant enough, but the flashier pop is awkwardly subsumed into the overall vision.
