{thunderstorms.} gojo satoru
gojo loved the way your body molded with his when you two slept together. it was perfect. serene. you calmed his nerves and made his dreams come true. but he felt your absence right away. the coldness of the sheets against his palms. you were not with him. he felt his heart almost drop. he never knew when it came to his occupation if something could hurt you. the moonlight cascaded into his bedroom. the moon always reminded him of you because you always said the moon was your heart, always there with him. gojo rubbed his eyes, trying to find your body. you both were like magnets. he stood up groggily. he was wearing the pajama pants you gave him as a gift. effortlessly he walked to the living room to see you sitting, cuddled up in a blanket, staring at the window. gojo finally realized it was raining. the rain pattering against the window. first comes rain than thunder. the wind rustled outside making a howling sound. gojo called out to you, “baby?” he saw you trembling, knees hurdled against your chest. gojo motioned over as he picked you up and sat you on his lap. his chin resting against the top of your head as your cheek rested against his chest. your cold hands wrapped themselves around his shoulders. you kissed lightly the tip of his nose. gojo kissed the top of your head. it was comforting being in the silence. you threw the blanket wrapped around you on gojo as well. gojo cuddled with you as he tickled your arm. “what’s wrong with my princess? why are you up?” then a lightning bolt struck out making you jump. “oh.” was all gojo said as you crawled even closer to gojo. with a pouted lip you said, “i’m scared.” gojo smiled a little at your statement. yes, you were being vulnerable but he thought this fear you had was cute. you were the cute love of his life. but he knew it was his job to make you feel better, to protect you even if it was from thunderstorms. “i have an idea.” he picked you up. you wrapped your legs around him as he took you to the bedroom. he gently laid you on the bed. he laid beside you holding you close so you can feel safe. he then turned on the tv and flipped through the channels. finally, he put on cartoons. “if you’re scared tell me, look in my eyes. squeeze me, hold me, whatever you want.” your eyes widened at how perfect this creation was. you held his hand tightly. “i won’t go to sleep until you fall asleep. take as long as you need love.” he smiled a little smile. it was enough to calm your nerves. you gradually melted into gojo’s arms. embracing his smell, his heartbeat, his steady breathing. the low mumble of cartoons and the rain pattering against the roof. your eyes closed. you were finally sleeping, hand still gripping gojo’s big hand. you fell asleep close to gojo, head tilted in his direction. gojo pushed a strand of hair back behind your ears. bewildered by your beauty. he kissed your nose and whispered, “i love you y/n.”
i got this idea from a clip i saw on instagram. i listened to halley’s comet by billie and citrus by holly henry while writing this and needless to say. i cried. i want to write gojo content for as long as i live.
“ teddy bears ”
notes: i am doing some upgrades and updates soon w my writing. so everyone wait for that. i rlly like this request and like phil’s character a ton! and i hope hopper gets a good ending in the last season 😢
☆ ── pairing: phil callahan x hopper! fem reader (adopted)
☆ ── desc: order by @actress415, they were meeting w each other in secret, hopper finds out and gets protective
Phil had taken you on the weekend to the fair. It was something you were looking forward to because not only were you excited about getting the day off to relax and have some fun, but you were thrilled because it was a date. Things were pretty slow and rocky at first in your guys relationship because of all the crazy stuff happening in Hawkins but now things were getting more serious. It felt refreshing to be on the same page as your significant other. It felt different.
“Alright, this is where I leave you.” Phil wiped his hands on his blue jeans, his mustache quirking up from his smile he gave you. You could tell he was nervous. Phil was very respectful and never made you feel uncomfortable.
“Indeed it is. Thank you for this day Phil, it was so much fun.” You waited for his move.
Phil unbuttoned a couple of buttons and inched closer to you, granting you a kiss on the mouth. His hand wrapped it’s way behind your neck to deepen the kiss. “Thank you for your company, darling.” He smirked, kissing your hand.
You kissed all over his cheeks and forehead making him giggle. “But alas this is where I leave you!” You opened up the car door and waved as he dropped you off at your brother’s house. Seeing he wasn’t there.
“Wait y/n!” He held out a teddy bear he had won for you at the fair. It was your favorite color and the one you were eyeing at the whole time. “You forgot your buddy.”
You rolled your eyes, you checked everywhere to make sure your brother wasn’t around. Phil and you were seeing each other in secret, against his wishes. “How could I ever forget this? Thanks babe.” You chuckled as you grabbed him by his collar and kissed him quickly. Running to the door when you finished. You waved goodbye and he drove away.
What a day. You opened the door and...
“Where were you?”
You screamed as you dropped your teddy, surprised to see Jim Hopper, your brother, Phil’s boss, standing there by the kitchen doorway, beer in his hand and the other resting against his belt.
“What do you mean?”
“Answer the question y/n.”
Jane ran up and copied Jim’s stance, “yeah, answer the question.”
“It was a friend.” You sat.
Jim eyed you. You knew he could be really protective over you at times and then a lot of times a jerk. “Who was with you? Where were you at? Is that your boyfriend?”
“Oh my gosh Jim, you’re getting too much now.” You walked to the kitchen to clean dishes.
The doorbell rang. “I’ll get it, we’re not finished with this conversation.” Jim cornered you. When he opened up the door however, everything was very awkward.
“Oh,” Phil bit his lip. “I was dropping off y/n’s jacket.”
Jim tapped his foot on the floor. “Y/n!!!”
You knew you had a lot of explaining to do.
The Great British Bake Off BRITISH Macaroons
I know the French think they are the bees knees on macarons, but their version is different from the English version. The plateful above are one version of what you would get if you asked for a macaroon at any English restaurant, unless it was in London, where the French thing seems to be more popular.
It’s basically an almond biscuit. The outsides are crisp, yet the centre is slightly gooey, and they are traditionally baked on edible rice paper because they are notoriously difficult to remove from the baking tray!
Ingredients
125g ground almonds
175g caster sugar
1 tbsp cornflour
2 medium free-range egg whites
½ tsp vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 160°C/325°F/gas 3.
Mix the ground almonds with the sugar and cornflour in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk the egg whites with the vanilla extract, using a fork, until just frothy. Add the whites to the almond mixture and stir together with a wooden spoon until thoroughly combined, to make a stiff dough.
Spoon the mixture on to the lined baking trays in 10 mounds, spacing them very well apart. Gently spread out each mound to make a disc about 5cm across and 1.5cm high – they will spread in the oven. If you like, you can also pipe the mixture, using a piping bag fitted with a plain 1.5cm tube. Set a split almond in the centre of each round or scatter over the flaked almonds.
Bake the macaroons in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden.
The more traditional British version is a Coconut macaroon!
Ingredients
3 1/4 cups (10oz/300g) shredded coconut
3/4 cup (7oz/225g) sweetened condensed milk (about 1/2 can)
1/2 cup (3oz/90g) chocolate, melted
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat Mat.
In a medium bowl combine the coconut and sweetened condensed milk. . Mix with a spoon until the coconut and milk are completely mixed, the mixture will be very sticky but not too wet.
Use a tablespoon measure scoop out 2 tablespoons of the coconut mixture and place on your cookie sheet about 1 inch apart, no need to worry about these spreading.
Gently form into a rounded mound for form the classic macaroon shape.
Bake until the tops are golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
Once cooled dip the bottom or top of each macaroon in melted chocolate. Set aside on a wire rack to set. Once cooled store in an airtight container for 4 days. Enjoy!
Personally? I like the coconut version. No faffing about with egg whites!
