hmm...most dazatsu shippers i’ve met have been genuinely wonderful people, and if the characters in that dynamic were reversed i would be all over that ship

I’ve answered this already, I think, so I’m going to talk about an older fandom? i abandoned z*mbits in ch*ck pl*ase fandom because the shippers were so fucking annoying and wrong about the kind of people jack and bitty truly were
Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all
chuuya is not sad. he’s angry, and he can is circumstantially pretty fucked up, but he’s not sad in the way that atsushi or akutagawa or oda or dazai are. like there’s something about the quality of his character which is not really terribly given to like...sadness. and he’s got terrific amounts of hard-won self-respect. he wouldn’t stick around in a position where he was badly treated unless he’d justified to himself why it was worth it. he’s been there, he’s done that. twice. i don’t think he’d submit to that again.
dazai can dom and chuuya can sub, just not with each other. i think this is a function of the way i see their power dynamic; that as double black, dazai is the one in control of chuuya, and this control is exhausting and taxing for him, and chuuya resents the control dazai has over him even as he trusts dazai without real rancour (this makes sense in my head) and as an extension of that chuuya wouldn’t want to submit to dazai when he has the option of dominating him instead.
oda is dissociating in every single canon scene and he deliberately keeps himself at a distance from people and this really does affect his relationship with dazai and he fucked dazai up way more than anyone seems to want to talk about
kouyou is NOT a good mother figure, she is the worst mother figure; she’s a traumatized 20something who was put in charge of too much too young right after her boyfriend died and she fucks up the people she comes into contact with and the fact that everyone is dedicated to treating her like some pure lesbian and mori as an asshole predator is kind of fucked up
