MacDo Series: Salamanca, Spain
During my pitstop in Salamanca, I dropped by the MacDo's off the main square. Its was a pretty fancy McDonald's with a nice store front that had these old columns to to fit into the rest of the old town.
They had a burger called the 1955 which I'm not 100% sure if it's a local burger, but it was the only burger that we didn't have in the States. 1955 being an homage to when McDonald's started way back when.
Basically this was a sirloin burger with lettuce, tomato, Spanish bacon, ketchup and special sauce on a sesame seed bun.
I don't know what it is with the international burgers having multiple sauce on a burger, but with the 1955 they made it work. It was actually pretty good. The meat actually tasted like meat and somewhat fresh.
