How far into the experiment are we? If she’s 6 then not long; I’d suggest for Wheatley’s sake that she hasn’t fully begun isolation yet, which means our options are: vocal chords and no braces, no vocal chords or braces, or no vocal chords and braces installed. 

How exactly does Wheatley stumble across her and what makes him accidentally “rescue” her?

Rey had encountered several droids before, but never any quite like the ones she'd been dodging for what felt like the last hour. Little, white, oblong pods on what appeared to be stationary tripod bases- they looked and sounded innocent enough, until they started shooting at you. It didn't help that there seemed to be one hiding around every corner in these white hallways.

The first had caught her by surprise, and had come dangerously close to hitting her... She was more cautious in answering the second's queries. After that, she simply tried her best to avoid them as much as possible.

The first time she spotted what looked like a maintenance corridor, she quickly ducked into it. It was dark, but seemingly empty... At least, it was, until she noticed a blue glow a short distance down the catwalk. A moving blue glow.

She hesitated, feeling for the saber hilt on her belt, but leaving it in place. Hopefully whoever this was would be friendlier than the guard droids... or at least more likely to be reasoned with. “... Hello?”

It was safe to say that Thumbelina wasn’t going to chase the only person she’d seen for what felt like hours down successfully, but she could make some noise, or some sort of ruckus to attract his attention; whatever it took to get a little help in this strange building.

   The child gave a strange look to the man. In many ways, she looked older than the age she was, dressed so often as a little lady, a queen in the making, rather than an eight year old girl. But her Mama would not allow her to look too old, lest she lose her first daughter to adulthood too early. But even her clothes could not mask the look she gave this stranger who seemed to have appeared before her without her notice.

   “I haven’t met you before,” she said solemnly, hands clasped behind her back. “What is your name?”
