My coworker knows about my love of thylacines, and she told me about a sci-fi show on Amazon Prime called “The Peripheral” that has thylacines in it so of course I had to watch. They show up halfway through episode 2.

I was pretty disappointed though, they’re just brindle dogs with CGI faces and they only appear for a few seconds 🥲

Flynne: “Are those…?”

Wilf: “Thylacine analogs. Though I believe you might call them something else.”

F: “Tasmanian tigers. I saw them in a show once, but they said that they were extinct.”

W: “Well, one of Lev’s hobbies is recreating such things… from their DNA.”

F: “Do they bite?”

W: “These two are designed for domestic companionship. There’s a rival genetic line, bred to be feral.”
