Okami Sequel Announced, Hideki Kamiya Returns as Director
At The Game Awards 2024, Capcom announced that a sequel to Okami is in development. The game is co-developed between studios which include staff who worked on the first game. The studios involved are M-TWO, Machine Head Works, and CLOVERS. Hideki Kamiya, the director of the first game back in 2006 and member of CLOVERS, returns to direct the sequel. The tentatively titled Okami Sequel is developed by CLOVERS, a new studio founded by original Okami director Hideki Kamiya, who will also direct the sequel, alongside M-TWO and Machine Head Works. Platforms and a release date were not announced.
