out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on aizawa ships other than Lxaizawa? Any tickle your fancy?

I genuinely love them all - the ones i know at least.

in-universe without considering Ohba's homophobic hand, i genuinely think Ide had strong feelings for Aizawa, so i am very fond of the one sided trope when it comes to them. last year, i also came across some posts headcanoning them to have been college friends or something and getting drunk together and i fuck with that. i love the idea of maybe them flirting during those times or maybe Ide making advances and Aizawa is not getting the hint. there was one post having some sort of fanart/analysis (i don't remember) with "wish you were sober" by conan gray and them, and that is the vibe i am also getting. i also like to think that maybe Aizawa knew that Ide liked him and felt tremendously guilty for not liking him back. generally, i love this ship in every flavour you can think of.

I think Matsuda and Aizawa have a cool dynamic and i love the fanworks with them being romantically involved, but i can't really see them like that? like i love the ship and indulge in it, but looking at them, i don't think they like each other romantically. I prefer Matsuda with L for some reason lmao BUT i LOVE Aizawa x L x Matsuda. i love imaging them competing to get L's love (i did wrote about this in my christmas-ish fic, in which they fight over whose mug is better lmao). i think L is the missing piece for Matsuda x Aizawa. however, even without him, I love the ship.

Aizawa x Ukita is another one i really like, but i see them more as good friends that met at the academy (or even childhood friends tbh). the care he had for Ukita when he got killed is enough for me to say yes to the ship.

i was also about to say that I am starting to explore Aizawa x Light, but i don't think it really falls into "x" territory. it's just the idea of Aizawa being mentally tormented by him, because of how he played everyone and caused the deaths of Ukita, L and Soichiro. this is all because of a fanart in which Light is a vampire biting into Aizawa's neck lmao

I can also see Aizawa x Mogi, given that they were kind of Misa's dads in the second arc, so yeah. i haven't seen many fanworks about them and i can only imagine this ship as very average men living a very average life in a very average house but in a very secure and peaceful way. like they don't find this boring but comforting.

i can't think of other ships, so if there is anything in particular, let me know !!

Yep! They're stickers! There's the nonbinary and asexual flags, and the star stickers are supposed to be the colors of the aromantic and stargender flags. There's also a demon for Seth, a horseshoe for Friday, a clover for Clover, a magnifying glass for Paetra, and a Gemini symbol for Pandora.

That depends on what you count as a WIP, I guess... I have a couple of ideas rattling around in my brain, including the TCP chapter I mentioned this morning, but nothing actually written down. There's also technically the docs for the Santa Clause and Powerpuff Girls AUs, but I'm uncertain if I'll ever pick those back up.

6. what is your favourite sense to incorporate in your writing and why?

I guess the one I utilize most is sight. Kinda boring, I know, and I'm still not great at describing scenes, but it's my go-to!

14. what trope would you refuse to write even if you were paid to do it?

ANYTHING depicting any sort of power imbalance or discontent in a relationship in a positive or humorous light. I see a lot of fics where one person in a relationship (platonic or romantic) demeans, insults, tricks, acts possessive over, and even physically harms another, and it just doesn't sit right with me when it's played for laughs.

So I've been thinking about your turntrans au lately (it's AMAZING, by the way) and I was wondering: does Miles not know who Dahlia is until 3-5? Or do they meet before then?

Okay so I've changed my answer on this - Miles DID meet Dahlia and connect with Iris because of the necklace, but not in the same way as canon. According to my logs on my Discord server,

He's tired and angry and his nightmares are getting worse and years of hiding everything from everyone are putting him in a bad mood and the sight of all these terrible prosecutors are disillusioning him and making him doubt the concept of justice, he's just distressed and taking it out on the world

He's a bitch to Mia about her job and no longer sees the point in becoming a defense attorney when the system is stacked against her and anybody could be guilty of something, fuck she probably has to defend him for something in order to reinspire him doesn't she

uh as for dahlia I think she tries to shove the necklace off onto Miles and he refuses her advances and she gets arrested

...but what if he wasn't in the courthouse that day? He wouldn't be studying for the bar if he didn't have faith in the system... maybe Dahlia stashed it somewhere and Miles stumbled across it while visiting Ray

and now Iris-as-Dahlia is trying to woo him to get him to give her the necklace as a present but then genuinely becomes friends with him

Iris feels like someone he can confide in, someone who understands how he feels without risking ruining his relationship with her

But the more he divulges to her, the guiltier he feels about the death of his father, and by the time Dahlia tries to poison him and steal the necklace back, and Swallow gets caught in the crossfire, Miles is angrier and more closed off than ever

He doesn't trust Mia to defend him and wants to be found guilty to pay for the crime he committed when he was nine, he knows the true culprit of this crime would escape anyway and at least in this fashion some semblance of justice can be served, right?

when it starts to look like Dahlia is the culprit and the necklace's true nature is revealed, Miles is heartbroken at the betrayal of his friend and terrified that he won't receive the justice he deserves, so he tries to run off...

Mia reaches out to him after he's pulled back to the courtroom, and shows him that true justice is still achievable by exposing Dahlia for her crime and telling him that having faith in his innocence is important, it gives him something to live for and work towards

Miles has this epiphany that he wants to live, he wants to be someone his father could be proud of, someone that can atone for his crime by helping those who never committed one

Hmmmm 🤔 I had to think about this one for a bit, honestly. But probably "The Sun, The Moon, The Stars in the Sky" by knightmareaceblue! I really liked the way it was done. If you're a Henry Stickmin fan, I actually highly recommend all of Knightmare's stuff!

28: Longest fic you read this year?

I think it's Home and Hearth! It's over 230,000 words, and 33 chapters. It's an ATLA fic, for any curious.
