Smackdown Flashback - Adam Rose (with Rosa Mendes) and Heath Slater vs Macho Mandow and AxelMania

Damien Mizdow might not be everyone's cup of tea so I made these retro Sandow attires for anyone interested!
Also made a bonus Macho Mandow attire too. (Sorry @sixdegreesofsandow lmao)
Hashtags to find them: Damien_Sandow, Macho Mandow, Intellectual Savior, Duke of Decency, Lord of Literacy
(On Macho Mandow) Let's be honest; should they have gone to that in the first place? Sandow was getting himself over doing things as Sandow outside of the ring. They were finally getting him out of the shadow of Miz and out of just being the stunt double, that's where they were going with the story. So the guy goes through all that and hits it out of the park, he's over...why would you make the decision at that point to go from that to putting him in a Randy Savage gimmick?

SANDOWAPPRECIATIONDAY
I came to the party late. I don't remember his "I'm better than you" gimmick, but I remember his series of one-off characters and then Mizdow. I wasn't a big fan at the start, but I soon realized that he could be a huge star. I thought Mizdow was his way to the top. Instead he became Macho Mandow.
It doesn't matter what character Damien Sandow plays, he makes it his best and shows, each and every time, why he could be a big star. Sandow could be the greatest wrestler of this generation. He is great on the mic and in the ring.
I made these badges so I could support my favourite wrestlers wherever I go. I'm not the best artist, but I support my favourites in ways I can.
Happy Sandow Appreciation Day!
To be honest, I’m what you would consider a late-bloomer in the Wrestling game. The first time I watched anything related to the WWE was last November around Thanksgiving. From the get-go there were certain characters that stood out to me. Of course there is the Dean Ambrose’s, the John Cena’s and the Nikki Bella’s - wrestlers that are insanely popular and worked at the top of the card. Instead of being drawn to these character, characters with storylines that keep on evolving and a place on TV every week, I was drawn to the likes of Stardust, Adam Rose, and most importantly - Damien Sandow.
At the time, Damien was working under the gimmick of “Damien Mizdow”, the congenial stunt double that outshone his boss in the ring. The minute I saw this guy throw himself over the ropes in a perfect imitation of the Miz, I knew I was hooked. It was plain to see this man was a comedic genius.
Naturally, as a college student with a habit of avoiding studying, I took this opportunity to literally binge watch every Sandow moment I could between classes (and sometimes during classes lol). From being the Intellectual Savior of the Masses to a piece of the Rhodes Scholars, from being Aaron “the Idol” Stevens to Macho Mandow and everyone in between, Damien Sandow has been consistent in his body of work as a humble, modest, hard worker that would sooner thank his fans than praise himself. Damien Sandow is known for his great talent of taking crappy gimmicks and transforming them into gold. And even if he’s not getting airtime or if he’s not advancing up the card, he’s always been happy to be in the business that he loves and does his best to deliver a product that the fans can enjoy.
As they say, life imitates art. Looking back I can say that Damien most resembles his “Mizdow” character - a person that gives his all in the ring, but remains unrecognized for his gifts. Today is Sandow Appreciation Day, a day dedicated to one man and one man only, to give him all the praise and gratitude he deserves. To let him know that we enjoy his work, his talent, and his attitude and thank him for all the years of hard work (and for the years to come).
So as a precursor to the Intellectual Saviors catchphrase, I would like to say,
Thank you Damien Sandow.
Happy #SandowAppreciationDay !
Mark this day in your calendar ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages. August 10th, 2015 marks the first ever (possibly annual? who knows where the world will take us) Sandow Appreciation...
I don’t believe I’ll be online much for Sandow Appreciation Day, but I don’t want to miss out! So I’ve posted it early. As I’m writing this now I realize I can put it in a queue but I don’t really trust myself much to do that. Also, I forgot HOW to do that.
Also I’m excited.
Hey, it’s Monday somewhere, right?
Anyway, for this very special day I have created a post to simply highlight the brilliance of Damien Sandow.
