Moving ON Up!!
Today was the 1st time out recording and broadcasting our show "Das Process" from the Jon Lovitz theatre in lovely Universal City Walk. Yes Colin Crump and I had been there a handful of times a few to help out at gocast and to date we've done two Ian Bagg shows which while loose have been extremely fun and successful, Ian is an amazingly funny dude who needs two dudes like Colin and I to take him into some next level shit... not his comedy that's on point. I can't wait to begin doing the live Icehouse shows over there. So I digress with one swift saturday everything has changed and it's def changed for the better, we have a beautiful studio, some cool folks who want to work with us, a great venue at a really nice theatre(though City Walk being packed for halloween horror nights WAS a little crazy.) It's still mighty mighty great. I've had a lot of "is this my life moments" my slightly cynical side wonders will some negativity befall me b/c so much good is happening but I can't and wont give into the negative vibrations I am the Vibe-Ninja!
Life is pretty funny and mighty awesome.....
The Show, the show man... it's a great show and it's going strong if there was any doubt about anyone's commitment to the show I sure got my answers today, everyone is IN and they are excited about it. I think the fall out with Rick was the best thing that could have happened to the show and maybe to me, so much negativity. It's just solid proof that money is not going to create a happy reality don't get me wrong I want to get the cheddah and not have to look at bills and live a healthy life...AH you get it.
Hugh Sterbakov who was on the show today was great, he's a really nice dude, a dude with issues and MAN can I relate he was passing out and had the bends when he slowly staggered into the studio and not b/c he had been drinking or shooting smack just had his prescription meds 'cept the pill broke and well NO time release... SO Hugh literally didn't think he was going to make it, he thought he was going to die-- that dude is a character and what a cool life, not rich but leading a rich life!
Yassir my good ole pal from RC came on and he's put so so much work into his comedy and he's gotten so good at his craft and it's a little lame but I'm proud of him, NAH fuck it I'm on point I'm proud of my friend as he gets better and better and rises to the top, that cat deserves it!
I'll step off my soapbox but all and all I guess what I'm trying to say is that "Das Process" is an amazing show and entity that has brought together some amazing people and we really our doing the one thing that I HAD to get out of this whole experience which is making an impact on the cultural landscape and I'm SURE that we have achieved it even if there's no Das Process tomorrow we will have carved even if the smallest of marks we've left our mark and it feels great. New event horizons and Special guests to drop by; "Das Process"
The weekend went by all too fast but hot damn it was a beautiful weekend in Los Angeles, warm days cool nights wonderful. I wish I could share with all of you "Imfany" and if I'm able to keep up with all the things then I will keep up the hype on "Imfamy" in full. Closer to home with "Das Process" this week we'll release a great episode with writer/producer/actor Kevin Shinck, he's not only the one time host of "Where in time is Carmen Sandiego" but the showrunner for the new(and from the ratings quite hot) MAD TV cartoon. It's very refreshing just being in a room with Kevin he's not only funny, warm and outgoing but he's just a nice fucking guy down to the brass taxes!! We have a few great episodes in the can ready to fire and some guests in the next two months that will be amazingly fun and will further Das Process's space in the ever growing podcast market while creating a new media empire. Like the rush for gold there's a shit ton of oppourtunities out there to be had and myself and Das Process we're off and running, yee-haw!! I don't want to spoil any of our special guests but I will say that the "other Dan Levy" is scheduled to come into the studio in June and well OHHH BUDDY I have been waiting for this moment since I turned on MTV and saw some shitty summer replacement game show host by...."WHAT!? DAN LEVY, THAT'S ME" Yes this conversation has been a long time in the making(since we both lived not in LA) Of course it's all in good fun but the whole situation is out of hand, the short of the story not only do I know the "other Dan Levy" but I'm related by marriage.....WHAT!? Not to mention that Eugene Levy has a son and he's the Canandian "other Dan Levy" woah. "Das Process" also has plans to attack Comic Con, hit the streets put Mack in front of the camera and let him go it should be good times and of course when the DP crew gets together woah buddy! Well stay tuned DP fans, we'll see how it all turns out same DP time same DP channel. KISSES dAN
