A few years after Cassie left to live in New York in search of her dream job, and has achieved everything she wanted for her life, something seems wrong. She refuses the second proposal of marriage and seems again uncertain of her life except for one thing. Meanwhile, Mackenzie also came out of a relationship that apparently seemed to be right but ended in a horrendous betrayal. However, this breakup brought to Mackenzie something she had not noticed before if she realized she denied it until she was forgotten. In this hurricane of feelings, Cassie and Mackenzie meet again and reveal their new feelings that arose in the years had passed. At this moment that the two of them are surprised by a new life and Mackenzie finds herself in a plot of love and lost feelings realizing that the path to her happiness has always been closer than she has ever imagined.

Oh hey there, check out this sweet cover art my soul sibling from another mother, @bloodycreampuff did! I sat with this lovely human for hours as they drew it for me, and listened to my nonsensical ramblings about this fictional universe I created about two best friends falling in love that seemed, at least nine months ago, an impossible feat to accomplish.

And yet. Here we are. My little passion project is complete. It took me months to convince myself that this could work. Let me try and convince you.

Summary: Growing up is hard. Coming out is harder. Falling in love with your best friend sucks. Until it doesn’t. 

In Mackenzie’s life, she was always certain of these three things: one, she loves food. Two, she’s a lesbian. Three, she’s in love with her best friend. After coming out to her parents goes horribly wrong and not what she expected to hear, Mackenzie and Cassie’s relationship takes a surprisingly strange turn that neither girl was prepared for. Meanwhile, Cassie is struggling with her own sexual identity after her horrible break up with her ex, Mathew. In this new, strange life they share together, they both come to realize that no matter what you identify as, learning how to be an adult is the worst.

Personal head-canon: Cassie loves Disney movies, Mack hates them. But when frozen came out Mack watched it by herself and cried because she related so much to Elsa, (Let it go is the one song she always sings in the shower) and when Cassie found out she teases her about it. it's the one movie Cassie knows to put on if Mack has a bad day~

Follow Up head-canon: Mack sings around the apartment a lot and though she claims to hate Disney movies when Cassie is sad or super stressed Mack whips out those song lyrics and serenades her (in that awkward Mackenzie way so it definitely involves lots of falling into furniture) and she gets half the lyrics jumbled and makes up the rest.

Mackenzie: A whole new Earlllllllllllllll, la la la la um.... take me udder- nope that’s wrong I think it’s take me under and under- wHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?!

Cassie’s favourite Disney film is Mulan and it drove Mack so mad because she would watch it so often and all Mackenzie wanted to do was break that stupid dvd in half. She had to stop Cass from hanging her Disney posters in the hall way.
