This post is dedicated to Uncle Mac who was known as the inventor of the "Mac Method" of shell cordovan shoe care. He was also an Alden Shell cordovan and Argyle sock enthusiast. His favorite shoe was the Alden long wing in shell cordovan color #8. This is as close as I could get with what I personally own---Ralph Lauren "Marlow" shell cordovan shortwings and of course a pair of argyle socks.
