The fishing paradies of Hungary: Maconka Lake Maconka is an artificial lake, created in 1975 with a damp. The territory of the lake, better to say lakes is home to several rare birds and plants, but the lakes are famous about another thing, Maconka is a real fishing paradise known almost all over the world. The Maconka Reservoir, located in Batonyterenye in Nograd County, has 49 species of creatures of all sizes swimming around. Among others you can find carps, goldfish, common bream, Prussian carp, northern pike, grass carp and catfish. The spot is perfect for an entire day out with benches and fire pits around. And if you not a big fan of fishing, also can find some relaxing hours at the lakes in a wonderful natural surrounding.
