Macrame Owl

Today, I have for you this cute little owl hand woven with white string.

As a huge Harry Potter fan I’d like to think of it as little Hedwig :)

I made a bunch of them as Christmas presents for my nephews and friend’s kids, they loved them...

To make this macrame, I was inspired by an excellent tutorial by Macrame School, but I added button eyes instead of wooden beads, which I think look better and more realistic! 

If you a real owl fan, you can even get a bunch of them and make yourself a little owlery, like this:

Is it okay to do a happy dance as I post this ?! It's been almost four months of lockdown and I thought of transferring the itch in my feet to my hands... I cannot travel, I shouldn't... Off and on sunlight today, looking out my kitchen window to the east. My neighbour's tree has nearly double in size since I moved in and I fear it is the same species as the monolyth 45 ft cherry or plum growing at the bottom of the garden.
