My mom bought these for me just a few years before she passed away. Of the numerous things I pined for, these actually got…not just "used," but totally used up. I fucking *lived* in them. I bled in them. I jumped over tall shit in them, and did tons of tricks in them. There's a sticker on the left boot from a high school girlfriend. I skated to class in them during college, after mom had been dead for years. I skated around Alameda, 20 years after she'd gone. But now the plastic is deteriorating, and they can't even be worn. I'm sad to throw them in the trash, but I go back to that time when I had to *beg* my mom to buy them, pleading that I'd REALLY REALLY REALLY use them forever. And I'm glad I kept my promise.
