One time I said ‘if you saved the chargers over the qunari dreadnoughts then you’re doing the same thing that Loghain was beheaded for’ and I gotta say after a few years of distance to really think it through... I was absolutely correct. In fact I would go further and say it is technically worse, since Loghain’s retreating army numbered some hundreds of thousands whilst the chargers number like... 7. The qunari dreadnoughts were huge war ships that must have had very sizable crews. You set up a plan of attack, allowed your allies to commit to the fight, then pulled back to save your own forces and allowed those allies to die unaided.
