Why doesn't Macy have a prosthetic? I've never heard of someone missing a leg using a cane as a replacement (don't mean to be rude, I'm just curious on your thought process here)
Oh yea I can explain that under the cut here [bit of a long explanation/thought process]
she doesn't like how prosthetics feel
while someone like Alyce is used to them bc shes known them her whole life, like alyce was born with major bone deformities below the knee that were beyond fixing, Macy had both legs for a while, and later on lost the other due to accidental circumstances when she was a preteen
Since she had both legs for a while she did what a lot of kids do which is like. balancing on one leg and just trying to see how long they can do that for. Macy perfected that in a sense and after losing her leg it became handy. She did have a prosthetic for a while but she thought it was uncomfortable and made it harder to move around since that would be several more years of practicing movement. Macy just kind of took what she knew and applied it to her everyday life and uses a cane as a means of relieving some weight off of her one leg. sort of like how one runs for a long time and needs to use a wall to hold themselves up to take a breather and relax their muscles.
