Thinking about that dumbass jekyll&hyde boi this morning
"Know that the pain you experience here is the result of lifetimes of refinement and iteration. Embrace it, and writhe, and be awed."
--Dutheil, the Mad Architect
I spontaneously remembered how to color! Amazing.
This is a collab between myself and @mad-architect. He drew it, I lined and colored.
Maybe now I’ll be able to work on some shit I’ve owed for 40 years, now that I’ve worked some rust out of my system.
Song of the day for 4/30/17: Septicflesh- Mad Architect Not a bad choice for a birthday song. thanks Spotify.
The landscape of Los Angeles residences is set to check a new benchmark as prolific firm MAD Architects presents its newest design – and first this side of the Pacific – at 8600 Wilshire. Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, the 18-unit residential village will be comprised of three townhouses, five villas, two studios and eight condominiums; the diversity of living spaces embedded within the edifice speaks to founder Ma Yansong’s design philosophy – to harmonize nature within high-density urbanity. Accordingly, the glass facade is tinted with cool white to appear opaque at the exterior, yet the spaces inside are transparent to involve residents in the garden nucleus. Of particular note, Yansong and MAD demonstrate sensitivity by draping the village in water-efficient, drought-tolerant vines and succulents. Enjoy a look at the space here and head over to MAD Architects’ website to view its full portfolio.
