The Beatbreak opening revealed who took Asuka's e-pulse way before episode 12...

By now we know who took it, but opening showed it even earlier.

When it shows all members of Five Stars, Kanada is shown as the last one.

But not only that...

Right after it shows a glowing Sapotama, about to be grabbed by a Digimon's hand...

And that is Kanada's partner Digimon. Very brief moment, yet with a very heavy spoiler.

The nurses didn't seem to care much, so long as the wound site was healing, so they took out the stitches after a while that Tomoro hadn't counted (was it still even May?) and shoved him under the spray of the shower to scrub him clean and kick him out again. According to Arslan, he'd be visiting Asuka once the nurses cleared him to go, and it was the only thing that kept Tomoro sane in this stupid infirmary with its annoying nurses and that damn lizard always staring at him. It had stopped trying to talk to Tomoro a while ago, both because Tomoro ignored it completely and because the nurses shushed it whenever it was too loud, which was all the time, which meant it was always getting shushed.

Tomoro thinks it deserves the humiliation. No one is that loud unless they were babies. The lizard acted quite young but it couldn't have been baby young. That was absurd. At least it wasn't trying to get his attention anymore. Some part of him felt awkward watching it lay there pitifully but another part of him had no qualms about it, and this was what he listened to while waiting to be discharged. Seeing Asuka would be what sealed his future, if his brother was even his alive. He probably shouldn't have trusted Arslan as far as he could throw him (which was not far) but at the same time, if Asuka is alive, and can be brought back, then he had to see for himself, to take that chance, and if it was just a ploy, then he'd let himself disappear. He hadn't contributed anything to society. They wouldn't mourn him.

At least, if he died, he could be with Asuka again.

He flickers his gaze across the board once before a quiet voice echoes, ringing in his ears. "Raito, are you thinking about—"

"No," he states as he makes his move, "there's nothing to think over. We captured a bounty just like we were told and that's it.”

Regardless of the fact that it hadn't been much of a capture as it had been a rescue. Never mind how he had to carry the bounty all the way to the infirmary and list off all the injuries he could take note of in the short time frame. That had just been orders he had to follow. If the boy was sent back with a new Sapotama or turned into a Cleaner, then so be it. He was itching to actually have a proper team anyway. Naito was adamant that he wasn't going to carry his weight any longer. Either Raito pushed his way to leader or he was left alone in the dust. This new recruit could be the chance he's been waiting for to prove just how much of a genius he was, how good he was at whatever he put his mind to, and if the kid wasn't fit for Tactics, then Raito would simply continue to push himself forward until they found someone who was.
