Tactics AU

Having your e-pulse drained could hurt depending on the method. I could imagine Nitto and Klay using a painful method to “evoke stronger emotions”. Such an experience would cause disassociation symptoms.

Even when he is with GD Tomaro would still disassociate at a similar trigger.

So Raito and Tomaro are on a bounty when Tomaro gets captured by the Digimon and drained of his e-pulse (like Mimicmon did in episode 8).

Raito frees him in time but Tomaro is completely unresponsive, leading Raito to think he’s cold harted. To he flies in a rage to fight the powdered up Digimon to save him.

Ether Reina and Makoto come and stop Raito by showing them Tomaro is ok. Or Tomaro wakes up halfway through and hugs Raito from behind, reassuring him he’s fine. Even though Yomaro is still a bit out of it and drained.

Afterwords Raito feels silly, And Tomaro feels guilty for worrying him but is touched he would go so far to save him.

GD still has no idea how to navigate there new feral, traumatized, cryptic child.

Raito is probably more observant than that but he still gets angry regardless which reminds me of meaning of e-pulse in how he gets drained of e-pulse and now whenever he’s getting cold hearted, he panics.

I like this though, considering I had a very similar idea happening for Tomoro and now that we know there are like coffins that actually drain your e-pulse…

And while we're at it Raito's too, what the hell

Raito keeps his bandanna, he has a collection. He wears a hoodie with a long sleeved shirt under it that’s blue and white stripes and a necklace that’s basically a locket tbh? It’s a weird little compass thing that he like cherishes to death. He keeps his shorts and wears a similar style of boots like canon but keeps fingerless gloves on. His knees are usually covered with gauze cause he keeps scraping them.

Tomoro has longe hair usually kept in a ponytail. He also has fingerless gloves on with black nail polish and usually wears his tactics jacket over a black shirt with a yellow sound wave (so his canon shirt), shorts and boots, and two gun holsters on either of his hips that carry actual guns. He’s constantly snacking on lollipops and has bandages over his legs and on his face. Like he’s never not seen covered in gauze and band aids and there’s a scar over his eye similar to Naito’s (it’s not a straight line but a jagged one). He can lift the lenses of his glasses up, which are slightly tinted and he wears a collar around his neck (think alien stage collar) that has a blinking light in the center and wears Raito’s bandanna around his neck too. There’s some burn scars that seem to surround the area too…

How does Tomoro get along with the rest of Team 7?

Also is Gekkomon any different with Tomoro being in Tactics in this AU

Hotaruko reminds him painfully of Asuka which both upsets and makes him more prone to listening to her. He doesn’t like her overworking herself but is a hypocrite who doesn’t take his own advice and she, on the other hand tries to help him however she can.

Luka and him bond over losing people they care over. When Tomoro first came, Luka was already there and they had to share a room. It quickly evolved into a sort of friendship between the two who were only two years apart but that dissolved quickly after Naito’s first punishment where Tomoro now hardly ever speaks to him and Luka doesn’t know how to explain why he couldn’t interfere.

Okay I forgot to add Gekkomon 😭

He really likes gekkomon. Gekkomon REALLY likes him. They’re best friends. The only friends. Gekkomon wishes that Tomoro would trust others more though… would trust them too…

How exactly did Raito end up joining Glowing Dawn? (I know it was through Asuka but more details pls)

Also how was his and Monodramon's early days there? (And his relationship with Monodramon too)

So, after Asuka and him brought Tomoro back, Raito was given an ultimatum: give Monodramon away or become a cleaner. He didn’t want to give away the creature who saved his best friend so he accepted becoming a cleaner and Asuka brought him to Kyo after they visited Tomoro, telling him that he mustn’t tell Tomoro about ANY of this. At the time, Raito was 11 and Kyo was awkward about it at first since he’s never raised a kid before but Raito was happy to just do whatever he was asked.

For a while, it was just Raito, Kyo, sometimes Asuka, sometimes Tomoro, and Monodramon and Cougarmon. Raito learned a lot about Monodramon by trying to imitate how Kyo interacted with Cougarmon before Kyo told him to just be himself. A year later is when Reina joined the group, and Raito and her instantly butted heads. She was rude and annoying and Raito didn’t see why Kyo had to take her in when so many cleaner teams dropped her. Maybe there was a reason she was getting kicked off. Kyo made them bond by letting them take care of a bounty together which was uh, sort of a disaster. Raito fell off a cliff, evolving Monodramon into Rhamphomon out of pure fear of death, and Reina, despite her rough exterior, did start to see the two as family, so when the bounty began charging towards Raito, She evolved Pristimon to protect him. They still don’t see eye to eye a lot right now but they know they have each other’s back at least.

When Raito first birthed Monodramon, he was relieved that the Digimon saved his friend and even thanked him, but he didn’t really know how to interact. He thought maybe he could treat him like he treated Tomoro but letting Monodramon say whatever he wants while Raito just kinda sits there and listens is a little awkward. With Tomoro, they balance each other out but with Monodramon, Raito isn’t sure what to talk about until he needs someone to play chess with and Monodramon is the only person he can ask. He ends up having fun with it, and that’s how they start their daily chess time but they still never quite learn how to talk properly.

Instead, Raito tries to mimic Kyo but Monodramon doesn’t have any fur to brush, for one, and for two, he doesn’t like just being cuddled or hugged half to death. He finds it uncomfortable after a minute. So, instead, Raito nervously asked him what he’s supposed to do and Monodramon proceeded to shrug and say “whatever you want”.

It’s not until he evolves into Rhamphomon that they start actually bonding properly, constantly flying in the air and laughing wildly. Turns out, they both like to fly, and it gives them common ground to talk on that ends up revealing even more of their shared interests, and how Rhamphomon is lowkey done with Raito and his self sacrificing nature.

Does Tomaro dark evolves Gekkomon during the auction?

How would he react to it, because I don’t think Tomaro would punch Gekkomon.

I think his collar wold go off shocking him and leaving him helpless to Nitos wrath in front of GD

He does dark evolve …specifically…

“You think you’re better than me? You think your talent can surpass my hard work? Gekkomon!”

His right hand is bright—glowing such a vivid purple that the light burns at Raito’s eyes as he holds his hands up to shield them. “Wait!” He splutters. “Tomoro, Tomoro, come on, I don’t—!”

But Tomoro ignores him, as Gekkomon freezes in place, a dark aura surrounding him, the same color a glowing tint in Tomoro’s eyes.

The light gets so bright, Raito has to close his eyes, but he still hears the ear piercing shriek as Gekkomon evolves into the virus ultimate, Salvadramon.

Anyway, when Gekkomon goes back to normal, Tomoro lashes out at him much like he does in canon, spouting verbal abuse and calling him useless and threatening to delete him.
