⌞ my life ⌝

nothing really special, it’s basically still this reality but with tweaks to it. I go to school from 8:45 to 3:45, I live a minute from there but I’m still always late because a girl needs her beauty sleep. I have a group of friends that consist of my irl friends and characters I’ve scripted. We travel around together now that we have our licenses but there’s not much places to go in our little town.

I have two houses, the first is my childhood home that my dad built in 2010 (I lived in a separate garage with my fam for a year). I have my older sisters, old room. It’s in the basement, it has white walls with a bunch of pictures lining the walls with little polaroids of me and my friends. I have one of those metal bed frames that always squeaks but scripting out that it doesn’t is a lifesaver. my bedspread is almost always pink with thick blankets that keep me warm while I sleep. I have two pillows with a bunch of stuffies lining the top of the bed. I have a built in closet with all my clothes overflowing. I have my own bathroom down there too so I made it my own.

my second room is smaller than my other one but is still as cute. It’s basically the same but my mattress is on the floor instead of on a frame. I have a vanity where I do my makeup for school, or write my essays at. I have a smaller closet but it’s still overflowing with clothes (maybe even more so). I sadly don’t have my own bathroom but only me and my brother use it. this house is in the town where my parents work, it’s where my mom raised my older sister so she wanted me and my brother to have the more tight knitted school experience rather than a big high school experience.

my school is quite small compared to what you would see in a big city but it’s perfect for 200 hundred students. It’s a one floor, colourful school. the classrooms can get hot in the summer but the newer sections (the older parts of the school are from the ‘50s!) have air conditioning throughout. all of the teachers are chill, especially when it come to most things like dress code (we barely even have one) and just normal teenage things. we have a 3 period school day, but 5 classes, the first and last class last for 2 hours, while 2nd period is an hour and a half. the school is located in front of a lake so you best believe the daydreaming sessions I have in front of the windows are mostly about my life here (or my bed)!

𐙚 Piltover and Zaun were worlds apart, but Iris was always drawn to the chaos of the Undercity more than the polished streets of the surface. Where Piltover was clean, rigid, and pristine, Zaun was loud, messy, alive. She spent hours wandering through those dirty, vibrant streets watching life unfold in all its rawness, feeling more at home among the chaos than she ever did sipping tea in a manicured garden.

(📌) Valemont Estate, Piltover

𐙚 Iris Jade Valemont was born on April 9th in the heart of Piltover. A place where women gossiped over delicate china and men strutted in tailored suits, boasting about trade deals and scientific progress. In the midst of this sparkling city stood the Valemonts: her older brother Atlas, her little sister Demi, and their formidable parents—Andromeda Valemont, the Dean of Piltover Academy, and Gabriel Valemont, a respected councilor with a past he never spoke of.

𐙚 Though she was raised among the elite, Iris never quite fit the mold. Her mother hailed from Velvora, a distant land known for its mystics and rebels. Her father, despite his esteemed position, was a true Zaunite by birth a truth he kept buried beneath layers of silk and civility. Only their family carried the full weight of that secret, and it bound Iris to Zaun in ways she wouldn’t begin to understand until she stood on its soil herself.

𐙚 In Zaun, she discovered the missing half of her soul. The part that didn’t care for rules or being proper. Powder, Claggor, Mylo, and Ekko became her makeshift family loud, reckless, loyal. But then there was Vi. The moment Iris saw her, all pink hair and fire, something shifted. She turned her head twice that day, pretending it was curiosity, not recognition of something deeper. Vi wasn’t just a friend. She was something Iris didn’t know how to name, something dangerous to feel.

𐙚 Her visits became more frequent, too frequent to risk using her real name. So Iris became Nyx in Zaun, a name whispered with a mix of reverence and mystery. Her friends assumed she was running from a past too heavy to carry. They weren’t wrong.

𐙚 Back in Piltover, Iris led a different life. Days at the Kiramman estate were filled with sun and laughter, playing in the grass with her best friend Caitlyn. Their mothers, both councilwomen and close companions, had practically raised them side by side. They were each other’s refuge, their safe place in a world that demanded too much. And somewhere between stolen glances and shared secrets, Iris realized her feelings for Caitlyn ran deeper than they were ever supposed to but she kept them hidden, locked behind every polite smile and casual touch.

𐙚 When the weight of her emotions or the pressure of her double life became too much, she’d disappear to Zaun. Her father had once taken her there in secret, showing her where he came from, introducing her to the ghosts of his past. He told her Zaun was his greatest regret. But to Iris, it was her greatest freedom.

𐙚 While Iris studied history and politics in Piltover, Nyx was fighting in alleyways and testing the limits of her power. One night, she found herself in a street brawl alongside Vi, going up against a group of drunken thugs. In the heat of it all, her powers broke through, wild and uncontrollable, violet and sharp. It should’ve stayed a secret between her and her mother. But with Vi by her side and Caitlyn always in her heart, she let the truth slip. She told them both, separately Vi first, then Cait, but she couldn’t stop thinking of one while speaking to the other. The duality tore at her, one foot in love with chaos, the other rooted in stability. And for the first time, she wasn’t sure which part of her was real.

(📌) The Last Drop, Zaun

𐙚 Then everything changed. The explosion. The balcony. Her parents were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The ground beneath her life gave way. She abandoned her duties, her estate, her studies, everything. Except her friends in Zaun. Before the funeral, she returned home one last time. She saw her siblings, said goodbye to the life she was raised in. But most importantly, she found Caitlyn. Just seeing her face brought a kind of peace nothing else could. They went to the funeral together. Iris cried through the entire ceremony, face buried in Caitlyn’s shoulder, heart shattered beyond repair.

𐙚 Not long after, Vander was captured. Iris was told to stay behind with Powder. She argued, like she always did but in the end, she trusted Vi. Believed in her. Powder snuck out anyway, and Nyx followed her into the night. But she was too late. She arrived just in time to see Silco reach out not just to Powder, but to her too. And in that moment, broken and exhausted, she didn’t fight it. Not after everything she’d lost.

𐙚 She didn’t truly believe what Powder said about Vi, that she had abandoned them on purpose. But facts didn’t matter when the pain was real. Vi was gone. Gone when they needed her most. And someone had to stay. Someone had to care. And someone had to stay. Someone had to care. So while Iris faded into Nyx, a ghost in the shadows, and Powder unraveled into Jinx, someone to stay, someone to care, even when the rest of the world had stopped trying.

𐙚 Now, at twenty, Nyx is known in Zaun as The Ghost. She moves in silence, always watching, always listening. She doesn’t need to raise her voice to be feared. And if you see a flash of violet, you’ve already made your last mistake.

𓂃۶ৎ I discovered shifting around 2019–2020 after watching a girl cry about coming back from Hogwarts after 8 months (yes… I know… sigh), but oh well, it kickstarted my Harry Potter obsession! I genuinely believe Dracotok was peak—but I digress.

ᯓ★ April 9, 1995, a strange anomaly occurred: 44 children were born at exactly 12 in the morning. No one knew where they came from, or how it was possible. None of the mothers had been pregnant until labor began. That was no different for Madison.

(📌) Hargreeves Estate, New York City

ᯓ★ Madison Jade Hargreeves/Stark was born on April 9th, 1995, one of the infamous forty four. Rain poured heavy that night in New York, as if the world itself braced for what was coming. From the moment she arrived at the doorsteps of the Hargreeves estate, wrapped in white silk, Reginald knew she wasn’t like the others.

ᯓ★ She grew up in the shadow of a mansion filled with secrets, alongside eight other extraordinary children, her siblings in name, if not in blood. While the others mastered the art of destruction or deception, Madison mastered transformation. Shapeshifting came as naturally to her as breathing, and she wielded it like a blade.

ᯓ★ Though she bore the Hargreeves name, Madison never truly belonged to the house that raised her, along with her sister. Their hearts drifted elsewhere: rooftop rendezvous, masked missions, the quiet ache of wanting to be understood. They were both weapons and whispers.

ᯓ★ Growing up, she and her siblings were shuffled in and out of HYDRA, taught obedience under the guise of training. While HYDRA tried to control the others' powers, they focused mainly on Madison and Emi , Number Zero. At age eight, Reginald staged their kidnapping, handing them over to HYDRA. That’s when HYDRA discovered what he already knew but could never harness: Madison and Emi were different. They had mutant genes. He couldn’t control them. He couldn’t take what made them powerful.

ᯓ★ In the beginning, they realized quickly that if they wanted to survive, they had to listen, so that’s what they became: obedient subjects. The Winter Soldier trained them how to fight without mercy and disappear without a trace. Madison, ever the observer, learned more than just technique—she studied him. The way his jaw clenched before a mission. The flicker of hesitation behind his eyes. He wasn’t just a weapon. Neither was she.

ᯓ★ Years passed. Conditioning sank in like poison. Madison and Emi became ghosts in HYDRA’s corridors—shadows, killers, infiltrators. They shifted into any identity, sabotaged systems, eliminated threats. But deep beneath the programming, beneath the pain, they hid slivers of themselves. Pieces untouched. Pieces still human.

ᯓ★ By the time Madison was fifteen, she could take on the form of anyone, down to the cadence of their voice and the rhythm of their breath. But the more faces she wore, the more she forgot her own. Who was Madison Hargreeves, when every day she became someone else?

ᯓ★ The day Madison and Emi were waiting for finally happened. The day their facades cracked. They were on a mission like any other but they took their chance. Emi teleported them into the middle of a street, bloody and scared. Scared because that’s the first time they’ve ever been free. Iron Man was sent to detain them. But when he arrived, all he saw were two scared kids. He took them in, under the pretense of helping them clean up before cutting them loose. But he never let them go. They were grateful, but that didn’t stop them from running. Over and over, they tried to escape. And every time, it was Pepper who talked them into coming back. Eventually, they stayed.

ᯓ★ Tony raised them, not well, not gracefully, but with effort. With heart. He didn’t know how to be a father, and they didn’t know how to be daughters. But somehow, it worked. Between the chaos and the quips and the late-night repair sessions in the lab, something like love formed. It was messy. It was fragile.

(📌) Stark Tower, New York City

ᯓ★ Then the battle of New York rolled around. Madison and Emi wanted nothing more than to fight alongside their father, to stand beside him and prove they were more than the weapons they’d been trained to be. But Tony refused. Not out of malice, but out of fear. They were still kids in his eyes, dangerous, unpredictable, untested. So he kept them in the shadows, locked behind reinforced walls with promises that it was “just until it’s safe.”

ᯓ★ They watched the sky tear open from the sidelines. Watched Iron Man nearly die. Watched the world realize that gods were real and aliens were not just science fiction. And they hated it. Hated being benched. Hated feeling useless. But they stayed quiet. Because at the end of the day, they weren’t Avengers. Not yet.

ᯓ★ After the battle, things changed, slowly, but they did. They were allowed on more missions, gradually integrated into the Avengers’ off the record operations. They became the ghosts in the walls: shapeshifting in and out of high risk targets, teleporting into locked down zones, collecting intel, vanishing before anyone even knew they were there. But never celebrated. They were part of the team. But only just.

ᯓ★ Years passed in that in between space, fighting but not belonging, surviving but not truly living. Madison buried herself in missions, in training, in the silence of who she had to become. Emi stayed close, always. They were a team of two, always had been.

ᯓ★ Then the mission on the Lemurian Star came. The mission was with Steve and Nat, but Madison and Nat had a separate objective: get information on S.H.I.E.L.D. What they found changed everything. S.H.I.E.L.D. was HYDRA. Just hidden better. Just more dangerous. They got the intel but not without Steve asking questions.

ᯓ★ Then Fury got attacked. Madison was with Steve when they found him at his apartment, barely alive. They saw him die right there—but that wasn’t what shook her. It was the man who shot him. The one with the metal arm. Madison recognized him immediately, the same man who had trained her in the shadows, who haunted her past. The Winter Soldier. And for the first time in years, Madison felt something she hadn’t expected: fear.
