In contrast to Sirfetch'd, this Pokemon has a long, swan-like neck and plumage that gives the illusion of a mask.

tbh I have no idea what is going on with this guy. What’s with the name? What’s that pose? What’s he holding? What’s his body doing? Are those feathers on his stomach? Probably, but they look pretty weird. I like the mask and the idea of a Farfetch’d evolution, though. He’s pretty cool, and reminds me of Lugia a little bit.

Whoa, a Farfetch’d evolution.  It’s also quite clearly a prototype Lugia.  And maybe a protoype Swanna?  There’s such a strange lineage to this thing.  As a design on its own merits, Madaamu isn’t amazing.  What I like is that it’s got a weirdly wide body and one foot sticking up, like it’s mid-waddle.  It’s a very goofy pose for a Pokemon that was probably intended to be graceful.
