Otome game “Secret Princess,” with only one copy ever made, has a secret glitch: in the first couple of playthroughs, the ‘Friend A’ character is happy to help and give advice. As you complete different routes, however, she begins to get more and more unfriendly. It’s because she remembers every individual player’s playthroughs and has to watch as her other friends, the capture targets’ fiancees, have their partners stolen and are sad. She starts giving out wrong information on the targets’ locations, moods, interest levels, and more. A one-girl scam operation! However, if you attempt to accuse and yell at ‘Friend A’ for her “help,” you get a hidden scene where the heroine attacks ‘Friend A’ and the fiancees protect her. The capture targets, even the one whose route you just completed, will join them against you, everyone suddenly having the memories of all the routes you completed and how you didn’t even care about crushing others’ feelings underfoot. (hints of this route: certain conversation triggers, spread out through the game; hitting enough of them will cause the hidden scene. Capture targets referencing conversations and acts you had/did with them in their routes while you attempt to complete another’s, showing that they are beginning to remember; this only unlocks if you begin using conversation triggers with ‘Friend A’.
(There’s a second hidden route only barely hinted at: The “Friend A Route”, that is only triggered by one scene. The very first time you meet ‘Friend A’, there’s a dialogue option that’s basically asking about ‘Friend A’’s home life. This later opens more options, allowing you to learn her name, meet her family, and even eventually romance her. Completing this route makes you more successful in real life, eventually leading to you having excessively good luck, getting the job you want, and being able to live the life you’ve always wanted. However, afterwards you forget playing the game at all and pass it to the next player, thus ensuring the secret of the second hidden route until the next worthy player comes along and notices the dialogue option.)
