MadCaitVi, but they each take turns being a damsel in distress while the other two obliterate everything in their path to save her.

Absolutely yes.

They each have their own way of being the damsel in distress but wether it's a small papercut or a bullet nobody was meant to survive (maddie survives SHE SURVIVES NO they drag me away), it gets fussed about by the others all the same.

Times were especially rough after the battle in the finale. All of them had suffered far too much, each in their own individual way being left with many scars, mentally and physically. What kept them going at all was taking care of eachother because it made things so much less lonely.

Youre asking how Caitlyn even forgave Maddie at all? Well! The hospital was absolutely packed after the war and since Maddie was kept in Piltover due to several laws that required for her to get medical treatment there, she was also there. So was Caitlyn, obviously.

It would be extremely unrealistic for them to be put in the same room since Maddie was under criminal investigation and Caitlyn was both her victim and of higher status. But let's just assume, because the hospital was so immensely busy and packed, that it did happen.

Lets think about Caitlyn, resting after surgery for her eye, looking over at Maddie who was kept alive by about a dozen machines, wires and tubes. Let's think about Caitlyn seeing Maddie wake up with a jolt, almost choking on her breathing tube and looking around in utter panic. Caitlyn has a kind-hearted nature and you can't tell me otherwise. So she reaches one hand over, stretching between the gap of the two to gently rest it on Maddies arm.

It helped Maddie calm down even just a little when she saw Caitlyn. She gave the kiramman an apologetic look, eyeing up her bandaged form and injured eye. She knew who was to blame and she knew that, by connection, it was her fault too.

Despite all of the guilt that was eating away at her, she couldn't bing herself to pull away.

I believe that Caitlyn actually spoke out in maddies case, both as the victim and as a defendant. That was a highly debated point at that time because many people were in the assumption that some kind of manipulation jad taken place for Caitlyn to defend her almost-killer. To this day nobody had a clue what it was, but after extensive checks there was no indication of foul play.

Maddie was let off lightly because of that but was kept under a close eye and had to go to weekly assessments.

Vi wasn't exactly fond of Maddie at first, especially after she found out what she'd tried to do to Caitlyn but she hardly had a choice but to grow fond of her. It was never going to be easy for the three, but it was something they were willing to fight for. Something about being so stubborn to be themselves made them soft for eachother.

(If yiu think about it, each of them came from very different backgrounds with very different pursuits. There was obviously always going to be rough patches and disagreements. So I don't think any kind of argument matters here to claim that Maddie is 'too different'.

Caitlyn surrounded herself with Vi, the woman who's sister killed her mother. Vi surrounded herself with Caitlyn who abandoned her and gassed the undercity. So would it actually be that unlikely for them to surrounded themselves with maddie? Couldn't they see her flaws as something she could grow from too?)

ALSO!!!

They have to have a scheduled for who gets to sleep in the middle. It's an actual problem that caused several arguments before. Maddie once was claiming middle for over a month straight and the only thing ending her streak was being literally wrestled away by Vi. That's when they knew they had to come up with some kind of system. Only exception is when somebody else takes priority because they don't feel well 😋

MadCaitVi Headcanon (Clean-up Crew AU Edition)

Because a friend of mine somehow got me aboard this ship.

They have precautions for nightmares of varying degrees. 

Usually, it’s Vi springing up from the middle of the bed, soaked in a cold sweat and hands shaking with a need to grab onto something that can ground her. Early on, Caitlyn learned that her reaction to physical contact is unpredictable, and taught Maddie to wait for Vi to seek comfort from them. When she does, she’ll pull one of her girls closer, her arms wrapped snugly around them, and let them lean against her like a weighted blanket until her breathing evens out. She likes to drape Caitlyn’s long limbs over her sides while her head rests on Vi’s shoulder, or bend Maddie at the hips so she can be nestled perfectly in Vi’s lap. If she needs distance, they trust her enough not to ask where she goes or what she does once she returns.

Whenever Caitlyn wakes up to the sound of her own screams, the first thing she wants is a light source, and her shoulders relax the moment she can finally see her girls’ faces in front of her. As soon as her heart stops racing, she's ready to get a head start on her day regardless of the time. While Maddie prepares tea, Vi retrieves Caitlyn’s dream journal from the bottom of her nightstand as a silent option to keep her fear private. It’s rare that any of them divulge the contents of their nightmares, but the other two often stay awake as they watch their girlfriend write about whatever devilish image her mind conjured up. Just in case she needs to say it out loud for once. 

Maddie never shows any tell-tale signs of distress when she sleeps. No tossing and turning, no fearful whimpers passing her lips, no fits of restless legs kicking at some invisible monster. She wakes up just as she does every morning, but these days in particular are filled with spaciness. Questions are answered with little more than a blank stare. Tasks are either forgotten before they’re started or abandoned in favor of fidgeting with any random objects within her reach. Fortunately, her girls are patient, and although they never know what gruesome memories resurfaced the night before, they’re happy to stay by her side.

I'm working on a Caitvi + Maddie "Hot" drawing. The thing is, I don't know where in the story to place it.

1- In a timeline where Maddie survives (she betrays Ambessa and doesn't attack Caitlyn)

2- An alternate universe where Maddie betrays Ambessa before the attack because the Caitvi "ambush" her in prison ("new fantastic scene")

1.4k word count warnings/notes: General mentions of intimacy (nothing extremely explicit). Written in third person, more focused on Maddie's feelings if anything. One-sided angst? Maybe a rushed ending?? My brain IS melting at thinking about/writing this. an: I might rewrite this in the future when I can think more properly. sighhhh

Maddie sat upon the cliff on the king-sized mattress, her legs hanging off the ledge. The cold air brushed against the pads of her feet, teasing the iceberg of a tiled floor beneath her. The room enveloped in a cavernous darkness, a slither of moonlight trickling into the room. It was only her, awake in the moon's spotlight. It was only her, sitting lonesome.

Just within the shadows bears hibernating hounds. Hushed whispers taunted Maddie's ears. Every night, she sits on the sidelines. Listening. Taking in the sweet words yanking at her heart. Sometimes she was tormented by their howls, the intimacy that waned away from her in recent weeks. Caitlyn and Vi, they were settled into the mountain of sheets next to her. Maddie could turn towards them if she so pleased.. But a distant world she was trapped in. A world where she had to embrace the chilling snow. If she had done something wrong, they kept it a secret. If she could do something better, Maddie was left a stray.

Her frame slumped against the cliff of the bed, her body just teetering off the edge. There wasn't much else to say between the woman and herself, just trying to mute the moans echoing through the room. It was one of those jingles someone would hear, and become captured in someone's head. But only Maddie was strained between letting it go, or letting it linger. It bounced in and out of her ear, looping through. 

It began to scratch. To tear at her ear drums. It screeched, it wailed.

It cut into her breath, her hands launching to protect her ears. The moon taunted, revealing the mess of her lovers. Entangled without her, embraced despite the mess of their hair or the filth of their skin. What was worse... That they fit so easily together, as if she never existed in the first place? Or was the toil within that they've never acknowledged? She was thrown to her own wolves, shredding her apart.

Her brooding brewed tears that seeped into the velvet sheets. Her hands clawed into the thinly covers as her own grievances howled to the moon. As if it would console her! She was left to fend herself on her own, a fool. A fool to think she could finally find a life beyond Noxus. A fool to think she could prove Ambessa wrong.

Her claws dug into the sheets, her face hiding from the moon. Tonight she'll leave, she reckons. Pack things up, to find a life where she wasn't shoved off to the side. Maddie lets herself trickle from the edge of the bed.

Chained.

Wearily the ginger peers behind her, her restraints reeling her into foreign territory. Now trapped by warmth, she complains.

"Let me go, Vi."

"You were crying.. Was it a nightmare?"

So, her sobs were heard. Answered, now. Her lips thinned into a line, the tears continued to drool into a new puddle.

"...Yeah," Maddie weeps. This was the nightmare.

Her human handcuffs brushed her hand against her arm. A silent heckle, only now she was comforted through all the pain and isolation. Maddie shrunk into herself, closing off from Vi.

Light footsteps tapped against the floor. Like a rabbit's paws. Blue hair sprawls near Maddie, ticking her head. It had been a few minutes sitting in the prison of Vi's embrace. Caitlyn joined them, closing off Maddie's one escape. It was a furnace between the two women. 

Caitlyn's arms crept over Maddie, creeping weeds embracing her sorrow. Maddie's eyes raked over what had become of their affairs. Notably, the sluggishness of the blue-nette's movements.. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair she can steal away the attention. Like a favorite child. Like a cat. Maybe Maddie would rather want the comfort of a cat, she ponders. She wouldn't have been mad at it. 

And it was fluffier. Cuter.

Then Caitlyn shuffles closer, untucking Maddie's head. Her hands had their own fair share of war, but somehow it was just as soft as cat paws. 

Damnit. 

Her forehead cuddled up against hers, a nuzzling warmth that made her ache. 

Double whammy. 

Maddie choked on her tears, her chest churning inside out. She was punted with the reminder Vi lingers just behind. Vi's arms snaked around her, tugging her as if it was coiling for its next meal. The ginger struggles against Vi's grasp. Caitlyn's arms too, in tandem. It was harder to breathe, sinking under the wave of sheets, dragged into the sea with the weight of her "lovers". 

"Maddie- stop moving." Vi grunts, keeping her close in spite of her retortion. Caitlyn synced with her partner's movements with ease, pleading. "Maddie... Tell us what's wrong."

All the ginger could hear was these two women mocking her name, crowing and cooing unbearable pleads. Again her ears begin to be scraped and scratched by their voices, maybe she could even convince someone they were bleeding. Not to mention it felt like an absolute volcano, trapped by these two.  

"Shut up. Just shut up!" Maddie erupts sitting up. Her tears, a never ending stream of lava. 

Vi and Caitlyn winced and backed off. Like frightened puppies staring at Maddie's outburst, they remain still. 

"Y-you two keep leaving me behind," she begins to spill. No response, yet. "You two never let me join you. You two pretend I don't exist. Not until now," she sobs, failing to muffle the wailing siren of her sorrow.

Vi peeps in, cautiously sliding closer. Her words were quivery, almost. Like shaking leaves disturbed by the wind. "Weren't you busy with that new enforcers gig of yours?"

"I was.. Y-yeah," she sniffs, letting Caitlyn enclose her into an embrace. A fist banged against Vi's head, slouching into her dismay. "And.. You were let go?" she assumed.

Maddie's head shook. Her fragile breathing slowed but quaked, netting in her emotions. "It's great, actually. I've been promoted as of recently."

"You couldn't have told us?"

"I'd tell you if you weren't ignoring me!"

Her words shot the conversation into silence, a cold hearty corpse. The moonlight faded from the room, burying the women into a grave of darkness. Silence screamed in place of them, their minds pulling and toying at their innards. Well, Maddie's innards. But she was sure these two felt all the same.

Caitlyn's warmth still lingers, in spite of it all.

A weed, she was. Somehow she crept into everything and anything. An attempt to apologize, she made her own shot. A renowned markswoman, never failing to make the target. Shooting for the stars. For them. Her hands rubbed at Maddie's back, draped in a pastel silk. She'd let the ginger melt into her arms.  Maddie's previous grievances were infected by a tender sweetness, burying her face into the blue-nette's chest. The moon blooms into a gentle velvet light. 

"Violet," Caitlyn simply beckons. Vi was already drawing near; a fawn inching her way to an unsure situation. Her arms wrapped around her lovers with a yearning hug, a clumsy waltz of her eyes danced between them.

It was another quiet night, sunken into the comfort of darkness. The sheets Maddie rests on were no longer velvet, but a lily white. Glimpses of orange wiggled its way into the room's decor, through wildflowers and draperies. But the spotlight tonight had only landed on that same bed. Maddie perches on the edge, taking a glimpse of the perverted moon staring back at her. A weight fell gentle on her shoulder, tickled by red hair.

"Don't you think it's getting a bit hot in this room?" Vi teased, nudging at Maddie's shoulder.

"That's a you problem. Maybe it's the muscle bulk?"

Vi shrugs with a brief snort. Regardless how humid it seemed, it hadn't stopped her from cuddling Maddie. Her hand lazily swooped around her waist. Her head buried into the ginger's shoulder, pressing a long kiss against her skin.

"Caitlyn," Maddie sings, peeping behind her. Maybe it wasn't warm enough, not without the markswoman.

Slender hands lunged like snakes, grasping on and yanking them behind. Dragged into the hound's den Maddie was absolutely smothered by cuddles. The sheets were tossed and bodies were flipped, giggles flying throughout the room.

The snickers and smooches faded into a snuggly silence, weighing upon them like a fuzzy blanket. She did prove Ambessa wrong, Maddie hoped. ----

MadCaitVi, but slow burn with a ton of emotionally vulnerable situations that ooze so much romantic tension it polluted the river twice

aaa I couldn't think of a whole fic for this but it made me think up a new AU that I def wanted to share because it had an iron grip on me. Trope stays relevant!!

Medieval AU Caitlyn x Maddie x Vi [450 words]

Princess!Caitlyn who is the soon to inherit the throne and is not at all amused that she'll have to share regency with a man. She's very well capable of doing everything on her own and has her loyal companions to keep her bed warm too.

Knight!Vi who would do anything for her princess. Brutally has to watch all the princes from neighbouring Kingdoms line up to take the Kirammans hand in marriage. Caitlyn has to remind her loyal knight that she means a lot to her every time.

Jester!Maddie who gets away with a little too much from time to time. A great entertainer in a lot of aspects, yet never enough to be viewed as the competent woman she really is. Always craving more and being served less.

Think about Jester!Maddie entertaining Princess!Caitlyn in and out of the bedroom, doing her very best to distract Caitlyn from any responsibilites thrown down onto her. She tries to give the Kiramman advice, but she always brushes the Jester off.

Of course, Knight!Vi stands outside of the room as her Princess is being entertained, jealous but also furiously blushing at the mere thought.

And when the time comes, Princess!Caitlyn for once not the center of their attention, Knight!Vi grabs Jester!Maddie by the shoulders, shaking her back and fourth in anger. The Jesters bells jingle loudly and she keeps that smug grin on her face. What else was there to do instead of kissing it off. Pining makes you do weird things, the loyal knight could swear she still tasted the princess on Jester!Maddies lips and of course this won't be the last time.

Knight!Vi obviously need to ensure that Jester!Maddie is treating the Princess well, so she makes her prove it. Maybe the Jester can learn a thing or two from the Knight on how to treat a lady. It gets to a point where it blurs the line between pining after Princess!Caitlyn and desiring eachother. The Princess finds this incredibly hot, obviously, so it's a win all around.

All fun and games, until it isn't. The flesh may be satisfied, but the soul is left starving.

There's simply too much risk, with Princess!Caitlyn still being courted by a multiple of princes and all eyes on her to make a decision. Her true Lovers stay hidden behind closed doors and kisses that linger a little too long for being casual.

Despite all promises, it is inevitable that this will have to stop eventually, and even though Jester!Maddie and Knight!Vi have promised to stay loyal to eachother nonetheless, it'll never be the same without their princess.

Is Maddie also a spy in this universe?? How will the loyal knight react to knowing that she's failed at protecting her princess, all because she was blinded by love...and does Maddie regret who she is? Or will she finally get the recognition she's always deserved? I guess we'll never know.

Maddie mediating tension and adjusting herself to her girls' love languages AS her love language > Maddie making her girls worry by neglecting her own wants and needs in hopes of keeping them interested in her

Vi taking action both in heated conflicts with people acting aggressive towards her girls and in minor inconveniences like an incorrect food order at a restaurant > Vi escalating situations to the point her girls feel like walking on eggshells in public

But just imagine Maddie in the middle of it with her acts of adjusting herself to never cause trouble and Caitlyn comes to her to complain about Vi—Vi comes to her to complain about Caitlyn. Her head might ACTUALLY explode. I think that's how the whole thing begins resolving though because one day they're all just sat on the sofa together and Maddie starts CRYING like full body sobbing and just says "You guys hate eachother and I don't know what to do." and the two just look at eachother like "hate??".

They talk everything out right there and then between Vis behaviour and Caitlyns, promising to be more aware and also promising to correct the other when it gets too much so that they can make it work together. Maddie thinks all is well now until they turn back to her like "Okay, your turn now."

It's a hard pill for everyone to swallow but they'll make it work for eachother trust me!
