So... I read something about how (in the grand magic games and a bit after that) Zeref was carrying this little beasty monster or something. And about how it was using nullification magic. That's why Lucy's urano metria didn't work against flare. But now we see Madd Mann uses nullification magic too. And I personally think that he could be that little Beasty monster thingy. Because look at both their heads. Notice the pins sticking up from both of them. I think the two are one person.
