A HONEYMOON CHILD IS A BLESSING FROM GOD or so they would say. the fairly newly wed woman would pin the fluttering in her stomach on being aware of the life growing within her, EXCITEMENT at the prospects of the future, but in trust it was nothing but nerves. at every turn contessina had tired to draw cosimo closer, CLINGING to the hope that she might come to know her husband better and unlock the door to something deeper within him, but he only continued to push her away and close even more doors. on the nights he came to her to perform his duties as a husband she would try to edge closer out of curiosity and want but he had none of it. such an unfortunate wife who wondered what it might be like to kiss her husbands lips, to find comfort in the warmth of his arms while their bodies pressed together or even to feel some PLEASURE when they were together... she was an unfortunate wife indeed but now she was to be a mother too; the news had not yet spread but she already felt it was to be a very lonely journey she was about to go on.
❝ cosimo? ❞ she called to him as she entered him rooms, not having seen him in days after a doctor had confined her to bed out of belief that she had some sort of sickness. ❝ cosimo, i must speak with you... it is in regards to my health. ❞
