Here's a blast from the past... one of my first forged knives, this is a hidden tang hunter that I did for a fellow who was on an elk hunt with HAVA here in Nebraska. I delivered it 6 years ago this week, half way across the state....Jr was born a few days later. I always kinda dug this knife; similar to the Gamestalker but a little larger overall and more refined lines. Well...they melted. The lost foam green sand casting experiment was a solid fail, but I got a plenty large piece of brass to forge the guard. So the guard will be 338 RCM cartridge brass from Hornady. #johnsonadventureblades #madeinnebraska #kabarkrew (at Johnson Adventure Blades HQ)
