Denton, TX -- Crisman will be releasing their upcoming S/T album on April 3 via Topshelf Records. Take a listen to the first single titled “Surprise,” a track that comes just under 2 minutes long. After the 35 second intro, the song kicks into a familiar warmth of DIY, lofi rock that is really reminiscent of Girlpool’s 2015 album Before the World Was Big. The song is about remembering childhood memories and those early feelings of wanting to be included and feeling misunderstood. There’s a soft haziness to the track that has a bit of nostalgia tinted to it.
