art BITES  and shits and SHEDS one is ALWAYS  cleaning up you find yourself looking thru the window at the puppies.... thinking i could DO THAT but art always wants to eat the CAT SHIT yes?

most folks never smell the breath most folks never see or feel the fangs and CLAWS art is clumsy and DRUNK MOST OF THE time....... always cleaning up

a wee bit about peteris vasks

 he includes sections in his music that allow the performers some freedom. the pitches are written out but not the rhythms or dynamics etc etc u can see and hear the quintet navigate those parts of”fleeting birds” in the video Vasks is very concerned with nature and has said that he uses aleatory BECAUSE IT REPRESENTS NATURE BETTER....

we can become confused about the “harmony of nature” and believe that IT ALL RUNS IN  4/4 time like some beautiful clockwork toy.  spend some time listening to the bugs and the birds(and human children) and realize how stochastic it is.....  EMERGENCE ps. thanx to all who liked “late nite thots” // sure hope u listened to the music too

just some random words about the frank martin prelude....

not too boring i hope.  if we take away expectations of grammar spelling punctuation word order etc etc from written language-how would we create forward motion or drama or whatever it is i am trying to express right now?.... SO how did mr martin(in 1936) accomplish all that in a four minute guitar piece? the “language” used is 12-tone but we still get momentum and an almost romantic story-telling. DAMN THAT*S GOOD (now go listen to it again ok?) if i was a writing  prompt blog i would suggest writing to that-might be a kind of fun CHEERS
