I was preparing another reference sheet for artfight when I got sidetracked with an impulsive Hank doodle. Been a while since that has happened.

Anyways, below I made a list of what I like about Hank.

Okay, here we go…

I like that Hank is persistent. The guy has had every common fate of death and still keeps going.

I like that he’s known for being pretty quiet. He doesn’t need words.

Do you see how he started to shoot without looking, and still hit? Man..

Adapts to anything on the ground. Dead mens’ carry becomes his arsenal. I mean, it’s what you have to do, realistically, but he can swap very quickly

His subtle sense of humor… “You only have one eye, loser.”

He looks cool

Also his overall progression is quite interesting to me. He slowly gets angrier, until he suddenly stops. Once he was actively forced to keep going, he plows through with more strategy.

Ive read ALL the little facts.. I love all the little facts.

He doesn’t give a shit. Imagine your life but you never gave a shit about others who have otherwise bothered you… woah.

Also quite silly, because he is clearly smart about everything in fighting and then NOTHING else. No thoughts, head empty, save for enemy bloodshed.

I could probably practice a ton of dynamic poses with his character and rarely be out of character.

He has very little emotion but not NO emotion, it’s made clear by the little facts. It just makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

Even the fact he’s without a jaw has me, sometimes. It could be my fascination with skeletons, particularly the skull, but every time I see a drawing of antipathy Hank or something, my attention is caught.

Seriously though he can be so oblivious in Project Nexus 2 it’s so silly

Like his name, everything about Progress appears unfinished. His understanding of language is half-baked at best, part of his face is missing, and he follows a repetitive behavior without any established purpose. Then again, I guess the last part is pretty common in Nevada.

What isn’t as common is he protects. Built for durability, Progress will choose a Nevadean passerby to which he will guard until he gets bored. He only attacks if he or who he guards is directly assaulted.

A year ago today, I made the first drawing of my OC (Piper) I'd made in four years. Despite the flaws I’m noticing now, it’s still pretty good for what it was.

Her look is then is a huge difference compared to now (obviously), but it really helped me discover the signature sketchy lineart that I have embraced ever since. :)
