Dwemer Secrets (Enovire|Alice)
Enovire sat on a large rock across from the entrance to the ruins. He slowly flipped through the pages of a thick book on Dwemer ruins. The book was horribly dry and failed to hold onto his fleeting attention, which was now being drawn by a small flock of birds roosting in a near by tree.
From his knapsack he produced a loaf of bread, from which he tore off a piece to throw in the direction of the birds. The bread landed only yards away from the base of the tree. At first only one bird noticed, then another, then within moments the fragment of bread was being rapaciously devoured.
Knowing that there would not be enough for all of the birds he proceeded to throw the rest of the loaf in their direction. The entirety of the loaf seemed to satisfy the rest of the birds.
Upon realizing that he was distracting himself to avoid reading, he picked the book back up and resumed from where he was. 'At this rate I'll be sitting here all day, and perhaps into tomorrow.' He thought to himself. He now tempted to place the book back into his knapsack and enter the ruins, but he knew that without knowledge of many of the dangers briefly mentioned in the introduction, that he would be taking an avoidable risk.
Taking a deep breath he attempted to immerse himself in the book.
