In a club tucked away from prying eyes, the supernaturals of New Orleans have gathered for a night of fun. Music blares from the speakers, lights of all colors illuminate the otherwise darkly lit scene, drinks are being skillfully crafted and served with each passing second, and sweating bodies litter every available ground space the club has to offer as they dance to the music, or linger and observe. While a well known scene for the supernaturals of Nola, a decent amount of humans have heard of the night’s outing and had decided to investigate and enjoy the fun. Who knows who’s human, and who’s supernatural with every person you brush past.
The night had wore on, and many appeared at the scene with the anticipatiion of having a fun night out, and had let their guards down from any threatening danger. All had been going well.
In the middle of the festivities, all had come to a complete and involuntary stop.
The music came to a sudden stop, all the lights simultaneously clicked off, and any source of power or electricity was cut off.
Drowned in darkness and silence, all had stilled.
And then, the screams began.
The first came from the back corner, a strangled and choked shriek from a female echoed throughout the entire club.
The next, a piercing scream from somewhere in the middle of the club.
As another began, the situation settled on the crowd. Shrieks and exclamations of fright and alarm filled the club, and the entire occupancy of the club began a hectic shuffle in hopes of escaping the building.
The building’s main light beams flickered on once. Twice. They began flickering on and off as if strobe lights in a dance club, and through the darkness, one could make out the panicked faces of each person.
The bloodied faces of those who had screamed.
The bloodied bodies.
The dead bodies.
Your task is to escape the club and get to safety. Do whatever you must, but get out of there.
You must begin this task mid-thread with your roleplay partners, and you may even write up a starter.
Stay safe, New Orleans.
Attention!
As cleanup from the Masquerade Ball held on Main Street continued on last night, workers found the body of a dead female hidden deep within an alley. The attire of the female made it quite obvious she had been enjoying the festivities going on, however that all seemed to come to a brutal end as she was slaughtered and tossed to the side. Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of death, and while it may look as if it had been done by an animal, we don’t find it likely in such a crowded place and event, and they are hesitant to release any more information to the public.
Due to these circumstances, a curfew has been set in place for all the residents, as it is now believed a murderer is on the loose. Everyone must be indoors by 9:30pm every night, and we highly suggest traveling in groups, as we fear no one is safe. Until someone steps forward with more information about this case, and until the murderer is found, restrictions will continue to be made.
Stay Safe, New Orleans.
