It had been a long day of travels for Emiliya, wandering through the various cities of Louisiana. Some intrigued her more than others, but she new she’d never be able to stay long. That wasn’t who she was, it wasn’t how she was. Finally after finding a place that she assumed to be abandoned, she quickly took advantage and made herself at home. Not expecting another to arrive at the scene, Emiliya helped herself to a much needed shower. A favorite tune of hers filling the air as she hummed along to the hot water from the shower head.

Lyra sat outside of the Fat Cat Cafe. The compelled the waitress to let her put one of the table on the side walk so she could feel the sun on her face. She loved this kind of weather. Where the sun is warm and the wind has a small chill. It was the prefect weather to enjoy a hot oolong tea.
Normally she would read a book or two, but today she decided to just take in the forgone end of winter sun. She placed her sunglasses over her face and smiled.
“Good day for a walk, eh?” She spoke to the stranger strolling by her.
In a way, the nightlife in New Orleans reminded Avery of the same back home. Of course, New York City trumped all, but it was a glimpse of what she was used to, a slight sliver she was surprised to encounter. Her pace remained constant, slow enough for the unrestrained, stray dog to trail along next to her. She found him roaming around to the streets and once the hound sensed her, he followed her everywhere she went. So, time to introduce him back home, regardless of what the landlord or her brother thought.
As the two walked, Avery looked on ahead, surprised to see such activity in front of her. People were exiting a building, most likely a movie theater and the concentration excited the stray dog. With a bark, the dog trotted on farther, a bit faster than her. Avery quickly caught on and jogged to catch up, scooping up the dog before he could terrorize the movie goers now aware of their presence.
“No,” She chastised softly, pulling the dog close to her face. “Now that’s not nice is it buddy?” Looking up at one of the supposed victims of the strays assault, she smiled slightly. “Sorry for him, he gets excited easily.”
“Look, I make deals. Which usually means I need to get something in return. Cough it up.”
Well, glad to see that nothing changed on my trip to Savannah.
“This place really hasn’t changed a bit.”
