So while today is the anniversary of James Watson and Francis Crick publicly announcing their “discovery” of the double-helix structure of DNA, we’re honoring Rosalind Franklin instead. Watson and Crick’s finding was based on a photo taken by Franklin who really beat them to the punch.
In celebration of Rosalind Franklin who is too often overlooked by history (she should have be awarded the Nobel Prize along with Watson, Crick, and Maurice Wilkins), here are a few awesome items we have recently discovered featuring both her and her famous X-ray image.
