Idiots. They were… idiots—she didn’t know if she was thinking of herself and this strange pikachu, or the Team Rocket duo which hounded them. It wasn’t Jessie and James, she knew. Back to the car, Dawn tried to pant as quietly as possible, back against the cool metal of the care in the dark, dank parking garage.
Why had they automatically assumed it was Ash’s pikachu upon seeing her with this one? It was just a misunderstanding, anyway; Buneary ran up to him, assuming it was her precious crush before Dawn could point out that their familiar electric rodent didn’t go anywhere without his best friend.
But, now, here the two were. She could have ditched the foreign creature, left him to his fate, but… that would be terribly wrong.
Closing her eyes and wished she had focused on her empathy training—at least she would be able to sense if there were negative emotions in the area, clues to see whether or not they’d been chased—but all she could do was strainer her ears.
The pikachu was still pissed, though, from her holding him, from her dragging him with her. “Shh,” she begged, “keep your voice down—please.”
