I swear the most heartwarming thing in the world is when you walk into a room and you can just hear your sleepy dog's tail go thumpthumpthump against the floor or wall or whatever because they're so happy to see you. like they're too lazy to get up and greet you or anything more than maybe kind of blearily blink in your direction, but just knowing your presence makes them so happy they can't help but react is just 🥹😭🥰

tonight I got confirmation that my BA in History is DONE. I thought it should have been, but my audit looked weird. My advisor confirmed that it is all technical issues related to a school merger and he will be able to get everything moved around to where it is supposed to be, hopefully in time for summer graduation. 

I took a double major since I started with Liberal Arts and a History minor (when the major wasn't available online pre-pandemic) and he currently can't access the Liberal Arts BS audit, but I'm fairly certain that is probably also just technical issues and once a human looks over it I should be done with that, as well. But the history degree is the one I really care about and am proud of, and it is FINISHED with a 3.80 GPA! 

I'm still a little paralyzed re: next steps, but I'm really proud of myself and knowing that is done and someone is getting it sorted for me is such a huge weight off of my chest I've been stressing about for months.

having a dedicated space definitely makes it easier to motivate myself to keep working on practicing yoga regularly. we still need to do some organizing/plant shuffling/sticker removal from said plants, but overall I think it is pretty nice.

debating on whether or not to use part of the $1,500 COVID refund I got from my university on buying a new iPad + pencil in the hopes it will get me back into doing art and attempting to be creative (and also my current iPad is pretty ancient). 

I mean the smart thing would probably be to keep it for expenses or to pay off a chunk of my student loans, but...I think I want a shiny new object instead :(

TMI Tuesday: first of, how are you? it's been a while since I sent you anything :) And then, what's your favorite thing to do in the summer?

Hi, lovely! Thank you! I am doing pretty well. Just trying to soak up as much summer relaxation time as I can before back to school (and back to actual on-campus classes 😭) starts up next month.

I am not terribly well-equipped to deal with hot weather and it gets very warm and humid here, so I don't end up doing much in the summer! I like to sit by the pool (preferably with a good book and a frozen drink!). I also like having a bonfire in the evening when it starts to cool down and cooking dinner (and s'mores) over the fire. Oh, and just sitting on the porch during a thunderstorm! It's so relaxing :)

How about you? How have you been, and what summer activities do you like to do?
