mafia boss reader x sukuna
it had been months since you first met sukuna.
he caught your eye easily in the club you were in. cocky smirk, perfect body, cool tattoos, loud laugh— he had your attention captured without even trying. and when he met your eyes from where you sat, guards around you and a man begging you to let him live, he didn’t look away.
he looked like a man starving, staring at a meal he knew he would do anything for. it didn’t deter him, not the way everyone else was even scared to look in your direction, not the way your guards had their hands on their weapons, not the gun between your fingers, not the way your face lacked any emotions but slight interest.
you didn’t approach him. you didn’t need to, not with the way his lips slowly twisted into a grin, his eyes set on you as he fearlessly walked over the second the begging man beside you was dismissed. he was immediately stopped by your men, but you only held out a hand, eyes on him as he stepped over, sliding on the couch you sat on, red eyes focused, smirk widening. “you look dangerous.”
you blinked once, twice, then hummed, face still blank. “and you’re here.”
he leaned closer, breath reeking of alcohol and a faint hint of cigarettes. “i like danger, and gorgeous women.”
the rest of the conversation was history. since that day, sukuna crawled his way into your life— never caring about the risks, the consequences, the danger he was putting himself in. all he knew was he really, truly, badly wanted you.
he, himself, didn’t get it. you were distant, cold, always unamused. you always withheld information, held him at arm’s length, texted him back rarely— but fuck, he was enticed, obsessed,
in love.
to him, giving up on you wasn’t an option. it never was.
because sukuna ryomen never gives up.
and he just decided he will be your one and only, forever.
for once, your day didn’t start with your phone buzzing with your associates calling. it started with your room door opening, a familiar voice scoffing. “i don’t care about the fucking rules, i want to fucking see her!”
the door slammed shut after. your eyes fluttered open, immediately landing on sukuna who stood in the middle of your room, arms crossed and a scowl on his pretty lips. “your men are annoying, you know that?”
you sighed, hand covering your eyes. “fucking brat. what time is it?” you muttered, voice groggy with sleep. you could practically hear the smirk in his voice as he laughed, a weight dropping on the bed beside you.
“six.”
you could feel your annoyance skyrocketing, eyes opening just to narrow at the tattooed man beside you, blinking innocently at you. “…are you fucking insane?”
“yes.” he responded. “you have been ignoring me for three days, so ‘m tagging along on your day today. i thought we could get breakfast together first.”
you sighed, frustrated, and annoyed by the part of you that thought he was adorable. “i have killed men for less.”
“it would be an honor to die on your hands, but we both know you would never kill me.” he grinned, eyes bright. “let’s go. do you want me to carry you into the shower?”
“…pervert. fine.”
soon enough, you were sitting in a café in front of him, eyes blank and unamused. he was casually scanning the menu, humming. “their food is really fucking good. their coffee, too. do you want me to order for us?”
you stared blankly at him. he stared back, unwavering, before shrugging. “will take that as a yes.”
the waiter approached you both, his eyes immediately landing on you before he swallowed harshly. you shrugged it off as intimidation, but you noticed the way sukuna straightened up in his seat, body tensing, jaw clenching. “eyes here.” he grunted. the man immediately turned to him with an embarrassed flush, and you only watched with mild amusement as sukuna stared him down as he ordered, scaring the poor man.
once the waiter walked away, sukuna looked back at you, scowl still on. “do you have to look so fucking hot?”
you rested your palm on your hands, elbow resting on the cold glass. “you’re adorable when you’re jealous.”
he scoffed, heat crawling up his neck. “shut the fuck up.”
you raised a single eyebrow. “tone.”
“…sorry.”
when sukuna said he would tag along on your day, you didn’t think he meant all of it. especially not to one of your ‘business’ meetings in the club where you first met, slumped beside you with his arms crossed, looking more intimidating than you. the man you were talking with kept glancing at sukuna’s glaring figure, visibly becoming more anxious until he was practically stuttering, but you kept your eyes focused on him, eyes narrowing. “can you fucking spit it out?”
“…fuck,” sukuna immediately whispered. “that’s hot.”
you internally sighed. after the stupid meeting, you turned to sukuna, nodding blankly. “get drinks.”
he shot up, grinning. “love when you’re fucking bossy.”
(he missed the small genuine smile pulling on your lips when he turned around. your men gaped at the sight, until you glanced over, and they immediately gulped, straightening up.)
you lit up a cigarette, eyes on the tip slowly burning before you glanced up, eyes searching for your the pink haired man. the sight you saw immediately had you pausing.
sukuna was leaning on the bar, intimidating as always, with three women giggling at something he said. he looked annoyed, inconvenienced, but your grip on the poor cigarette tightened when one of them leaned over to touch his biceps.
“…oh, fuck.” one of the gaurds whispered.
you didn’t move. didn’t blink. only watched with too much calmness as he took a minute too long befoee he shoved her off, grabbing both your drinks, heading towards you, his face turning from annoyed to relaxed once his eyes landed back on you.
he finally reached you, and paused when he really saw you. his eyebrows furrowed. “…what’s wrong?”
you finally reached over, taking a drag of your cigarette. “…sukuna.” you murmured, voice lacking any emotions. he stiffened, muscles tensing, fingers going white around the two glasses he held.
“yes?” he finally croaked out. you kept your eyes on him, expecting the same reaction you got from everyone else, anxiety, fear— but his face was only confusion, as if he trusted you.
fuck.
you breathed out the smoke, placing the lit cigarette into an ashtray before you quietly nodded towards the ground in front of you. shamelessly, sukuna’s huge figure was landing in front of you, knees landing on the floor with a faint thud, staring at you with something that was too close to pure devotion.
it was a look you never saw before. one that wrapped around your heart, tightly squeezing it.
it almost made you sick.
your cold fingers carefully reached over, cupping his cheek. he sucked in a sharp breath, immediately leaning into your touch like an eager puppy, and your grip tightened. “…you let those women touch you.”
he froze, eyes widening. for a second, you prepared for it. the fear, the panic, the horror that would appear— only for his lips to twitch into a small, bright grin— one that looked uncharacteristic on him.
“…you’re jealous.” he whispered. your eyes narrow, hand almost slipping, but both his hands reached out to hold it in place.
“‘m territorial.” you corrected bluntly. his smile widened, almost stupidly.
“are you saying ‘m yours?” he whispered, like it was a confession instead of a question. you immediately tensed, jaw clenching, and he leaned deeper into your touch, almost pathetically. “please tell me this means i’m yours.”
you didn’t answer for a few seconds, enough for hurt to briefly flash on his pretty face. however, instead of letting go, his fingers tightened around yours.
“i would do anything for you,” he finally whispered. “loyalty? i would die for you. obsession? i can’t think of anything but you. devotion? you’re the only thing i live for. i have never wanted anything— never needed anything, more than i need to be yours.”
he swallowed harshly, sucking in a breath. “i love you so fucking much. you’re my everything. the idea of anyone else even looking at you makes me murderous. the idea of anyone else even touching me makes me nauseous. i’m yours anyways, utterly and completely.” he finished, his eyes fluttered shut, completely preparing for the rejection he was about to face. when your hand slipped from his cheek, he let out a sound that shamefully sounded more like a whimper, hands dropping to form fists on his lap.
he froze when your hand slid into his pink locks instead, tugging his head up so he was facing you more properly. his red eyes hesitantly opened, and you blinked blankly. “what the fuck are you yapping about?” you muttered, face void of all emotions. “of course you’re fucking mine. you think ‘d let you even touch me if you weren’t? you think i would let you step into my house, storm into my room, and wake me up at fucking six in the morning if you weren’t?”
he stared back for a second, two, before his eyes widened. he looked like he had just won the lottery, immediately shooting up, eyes bright and a sharp grin on his lips. “‘m yours? like, we’re fucking dating?”
you blinked. “if you want to call it that.”
“holy shit,” he whispered. “this is the best day of my fucking life. you’re mine. no fucking takebacks.”
you arched an eyebrow. “you’re going to be annoying about this, aren’t you?”
he laughed, the sound actually genuine, slumping beside you before he pulled you closer, burying his head into your shoulder. “the woman i am fucking in love with just told me we’re dating. ‘m going to be fucking insufferable.”
“…would hate to know how you become when we get married.”
his head immediately snapped up, eyes wide as if that thought never crossed his mind, before he leaned closer, face serious. “let’s get—“
“don’t push it.”
he sulked. “yes, ma’am.”
oh this is the best thing i ever wrote.
