-Breekon's here!! he's delivering the coffin. also he's very depressed now.

--STATEMENT--

-they did something spooky during the plague. possibly spread the plague.

-they then go haunt a ship

-they haunted a train

-they transport a lot of spooky objects

-they have strong opinions about what entities are good to transport

-they thought it was a bad idea to make Nikola. but ultimately they enjoyed working with her

-seems like because our guy Joshua Gillespie didn't get Coffin'd, Breekon and Hope ended up bound to it. but now that Hope is dead, they aren't bound anymore.

Haven’t posted one of these in about a month and in that time Jon has gained a new scar and lost a couple of ribs. I had a surprisingly hard time drawing Oliver Banks despite the very clear image of him in my head, I am happy with the result of the drawing but would probably like to try a couple of different ways of drawing him before I settle on a design for him. The other half of Breekon and Hopes’s statement actually made me quite sad and I actually wasn’t expecting that, his statement made me feel like that feeling you get when you finish a book series (or any show or comic book series in general) you really like. Also look at that goats head! I am actually quite proud of it, it turned out exactly how I wanted it to look.

I love the part in Heavy Goods where the quartermaster discovers Breekon and Hope aren’t human through keeping track of the rations (and I’m assuming realizing they don’t eat) and they respond by eating his pen and his tongue. All I can think of is a confrontation that goes a little something like

Quartermaster: I know you two aren’t human! You don’t eat anything!

Hope: Actually we do eat

I enjoy Basira's and Jon's conversation A LOT.

I like that she takes no bullshit from Jon, and to be clear, I think it's fair that she holds him accountable. He always says that she can trust him because he WANTS someone to trust him, to tell him that he's still if not the same, then at least a person ... he calls Breekon an "it", but himself a "he", and I don't know that there is much difference between them, on principle. He took the statement from Breekon's mind and read it, and when Basira asked if it was worth it, he honestly doesn't know, which, sure, he couldn't have known before taking it, but definitely before reading it aloud (he did first write it down for some reason). So he read it just for the sake of reading it * and she's absolutely right to question him about it. And I think it's only fair to ask him to learn how to control his random bits of knowledge around her. If he wants her trust, he has to earn it, and that includes privacy. Sure, that's harder for him than for others, but then, if I understand it right, he chose to become an avatar of the Eye (by Eye Contact, and also the episode with the End avatar). He tries, and that's commendable. I think Basira trusts that he tries. I hope he succeeds, but if he doesn't, I'd totally understand her keeping her distance.

But for now, this wrangling of boundaries and the careful negociation of where they stand with each other, the messy reality of their situation – yeah, I really love that.
