Episode thirteen, Alone. Rip Evan Lukas, you would have loved serving the Eye
i’ve reached my fiction podcast enjoyer point of no return. so i’ve been relistening to the magnus archives, as one does, and i got to mag 13 alone in which there is a bit where statement giver naomi says her car is a vauxhall astra, and upon hearing this i immediately thought to myself “omg a vauxhall astra, this is just like gordon porlock red valley”
one of my fav ep, mag 13 alone
Idkw but I really wished naomi appeared more in the show
I hope Naomi Herne and her fiance, Evan Lukas, are happily married in tmagp universe, no Lonely affiliated family to hurt them
Guess who’s listening to tma again (my sibling wanted to (I made them listen to it last summer and now they wanted to relisten) really glad I finally got them on my side haha)
when your dead fiancé’s family is so bad you survive out of spite so that they aren’t the last human contact you ever have
MAG13 "Alone" is the first episode that really moved me, and while that certainly says something about me and my own psyche, I want to focus on Naomi Herne, the woman telling her story.
There's something very heartbreaking in the story she tells - to have found community and love, and then to lose it hits so much harder than never having known it. But the thing that drives the point home is the utter tragedy not only of her loss, but also of her recording.
Here she is, a year later, still not over what happened, desperately searching for answers, searching for confirmation that she is neither alone nor hallucinating. She tells her story in the hopes of being told "it's real, you're valid, we've got you" - only to be told "idk I guess it's in your head after all".
Again, she is utterly alone. And the Archivist confirmed it, even added more weight to it by way of his careless dismissal.
Episode 12!!!

“For you? Better beholding than the lightless flame” guys is the statement giver eye aligned or am I overthinking
