yes the tapes from mag 161 and 162 were supposed to make us sad for all those characters who didn't survive. but, especially the Gerry-Gertrude conversation, they also feel like all those people are mocking Jon from beyond their graves

goddamnit i was relistening to mag 162 cosy cabin and the line where tim says they could “swap in a poison teabag, pin it on martin.” i didn’t realise they meant they’d poison the tea martin made for jon. my dumbass thought tim was suggesting they kill jon and then just drop a teabag on his desk as a clue. i was picturing jon getting brutal pipe murdered and then just a random tea bag on his corpse to show it was martin what was i even thinking
