Got through a few episodes at work today and another tonight! I kind of desperately want to listen to another one but im SO tired so it’ll have to wait :(
The tale of a field hospital
- leaked statements? 👀
- Statement giver sees himself as Banksy I think, lol
- Jonathan is sure getting a lot of mileage out of the word ‘allegedly’ here lol
- “As he passed away for the second time, I implored him to stay that way. He said, ‘But doctor, I am such a restless man.’” <- that is an INCREDIBLE line
- Okay, so… Amhurst has to be Pestilance, right? In hand with War appearing in the other story about WW2 soldiers, and multiple iterations of death appearing in the story about games. Interesting, interesting.
- Poor guy just wanted to make cool art and deliver something interesting to the institute :( blood poisoning is an awful way to go.
- Sorry, John Amhurst?? (Frantically flipping through my notes) Who????? I need to make a full like board of everything and everyone I swear.
- Multiple iterations of pestilance… multiple iterations of death… interesting!!!
- Ooooh the echoing sound in the tunnels is fun
- Sasha??
- She looked too tall, huh? Would you say, almost, distorted? 👀
Thought for the day
- Martin?? FINALLY I’ve missed him :(
- Aw Martin’s sus about Tom. Smart!
- Ohh John sounds suddenly very sad about Martin being worried about him and agreeing with Tim :(
- Also i was thinking about Tim last night. I miss him. I didnt realise how much I enjoyed even the possibility of their fun friendship lol
- Uh oh. Failed science experiment linked to spiders???
- Why is it always spiders. Why am i listening to this in spider season. There are spiders in my bedroom :(
- The students are making a human… web…???
- This episode is DELIGHTFULLY creepy
- What do you mean Annabelle is still out there?????
- Tacking “…according to Martin” on the end of his explanation shshagga LET THE GUY LIIIIIIVE!!!
- “I cannot help but wonder how many cobwebs might be found in their own homes” is a fascinating comment from Jonathan. Especially given the season 1 episode where some guy died choking on ‘organic matter’ and covered in cobwebs and Jonathan was like ‘well, I’m sure that’s unrelated to him being stalked by a ghost spider. Anyway.’
- Jonathan being scared of going back to the tunnels :( Jonathan being sad that he cant ask his friends for help because hes still paranoid about them :(:( wahhhh
Book of the dead
- from the title alone: another Leitner book? Potentially one focused on death rather than pestilance like the last episode but that might be me being a bit too derivative
- Pop OFF statement giver lshsjhdgd
- “Asshole… not that I want to speak ill of the dead”
- If this is a Leitner book, bequeathing it to your ‘friend-who-you-secretely-(mutually)-hate’ is actually kind of iconic dhdhhs. Really getting the last laugh in here
- A list of deaths throughout history… maybe a list of people who took on deaths mantle?
- Oh, theyre like 5-10 years apart at most… hm… too quick for Death then
- Ah, the inevitablility of death.
- The deaths are getting closer to him :(
- Ope he directly mentioned that dhdhsh
- Interesting, not a Leitner. Adding evidence to the idea that Leitner is collecting them… maybe he was trying to keep them safe, maybe he was making an archive. I suspect he’s related to Mary Key, through more than her just liking his books/them exchanging books.
- Gertrude tore up the book of Soloman in the basement? … does the basement somehow negate the thing with supernatural books being indestructible? Or maybe just that room? Or Gertrude knew how to set up some kind of… neutralising field? Much to think about
