for real though if i had to pick an avatar to marry it’d be this man. yknow the one who dated the guy with the not!them table, had a breakdown and started getting prophetic dreams about death, got so sleep-deprived he did an identity theft on a guy he saw die, killed a research vessel full of people and himself, and was still socially awkward enough to question how to address a guy in a coma? yea that one
sorry for the wait on this one gang, i’ve been having a rough go of it lately and it seems all i’m able to do now is doomscroll, drive to work, doomscroll some more, drive home, doomscroll again, and sleep. but hey, i got it done! in the name of oliver “antonio blake” “dr. thomas pritchard” banks, i have done it‼️

oliver is one of those characters that doesn’t really differ from the fanon design in my mind. there are a couple of differences though:
idk why everyone decided he was goth? i mean i think it’d be cool but it seems almost stereotypical for an avatar of the end to be goth yknow. my personal headcanon is that he got into motorcycles after taking over the life of thomas pritchard, so most of the time he just wears a tshirt and a biking jacket, along with some jeans he’s had for years and the most basic boots he could find. the tshirt itself is the official grifter’s bone one, just as a reference to the fact he was in that episode (i feel like a lot of people forget that as well so i had to acknowledge it). i gave him the skull ring because i really like the trope of death guys having skull rings, and the one with the black stone is just cool. also, note: there is a black ring on his left middle finger. :)
i love the idea of certain fears turning their avatars’ hair white so much, as is obvious if you’ve seen the rest of my art. the lonely, the end, and the web are the ones i picture it with the most, therefore my martin and oliver (and annabelle if i ever decide to draw her, idk if i will) have white roots. for oliver specifically, i don’t think he’s the kind of guy to put too much effort into his appearance, so he’s had the same locs for at least a decade and has learned how to retwist them himself when he feels like it.
other than that i just went with the description of him from the aforementioned mag42: “he was tall, black and careworn, deep lines of worry etched into an otherwise handsome face.” guy is canonically hot and that’s about it
also yes, jon is still there, you just can’t see him because i wanted to mess with perspective in this one. he does have the death roots, and i like to think they’re covering his eyes and mouth before they recede. and he definitely looks terrible—well, more terrible than usual, anyway.
i have never seen a british hospital. i do not like to research for my art. this is obvious.
n e ways that’s all i got for y’all today. maybe soon i will,, post oc content,,, maybe. i’ll think about it.
