i realized halfway through drawing this it wouldn’t make sense out of context but here we are

context: they are immortals who can... well, die, but they’ll just come back. except they come back (in a flash of light) at whatever age they were when they FIRST died, no matter how much they’ve aged since. so if something happens (such as if mak fucks up a spell and blows himself and jadwen up) they always revert to, in the case of these two... seventeen and twelve. this can get annoying. especially if you’ve been building up muscle for twenty years and now have to start over...

ciel... i cant see it affecting his behavior much. most things are pretty predictable to him by this point, and i have a feeling he wouldnt trust it anyway

the balance is the reason things happen over on albeos too but that was magaska fault for once

scenes w magaska are the best bc 1. hes fun to write and 2. autoconflict bc as soon as he tells ren to do something she is going to want to do exactly not that
