I think the best part of having friends with OCs when you have OCs yourself is you can then make those characters be friends with each other. Yes, I would love to set my imaginary guy up on a playdate with your imaginary guy and they can go on adventures and those adventures can accidentally irrevocably change how we both see these characters because this imaginary friendship born of our own real friendship has shone a new ray of light through these people we have made up in our heads and the many facets we have given them and is now highlighting one we'd never noticed before. No irony, no joke, complete sincerity: Isn't that wonderful?

Liking a piece of media that has about 30 whole fics on A03 (and none of them are up to your standards) will have you feeling like you're craving a burger from a fast food chain that you imagined in a dream once and in order to experience it you have to figure out what the dream burger tasted like despite never having had it and found the restaurant chain yourself. But you really just want to eat a good burger and not have to worry about making it.

I post a uquiz entitled 'you think you'd be a crow but would you REALLY?' and the populace of this website chases me down with torches and pitchforks after 98 percent of users get diagnosed with common house sparrow

A parrot is a sort of sentient pair of pliers that nature sort of decided to attach a couple of fans to in the hopes it could one day let the entire stock of the ace hardware take to the skies. Nature then also decided the pliers also needed to be as smart as a toddler, live as long as people in the case of some models, and be able to sometimes mimic human speech. This is so they can eventually replace us, but don't worry about that part.

Just scrolled past a post that made me mildly uncomfortable for ace reasons but went back uttering the words "actually, lets see what the freaks are up to" and after i was done looking at it went "nice job, freaks!" and moved on and I think this is an approach that could often be taken much more easily than making a federal issue out of something that is simply not for you

Going outside to be immersed in the combined wonder beauty and wild existentialism of the fact that everything around you is alive and having its own experience incomprehensible to your equally complex human life is great. The plants are alive. The birds are alive. The bugs are alive. Where I am, beneath the clay, the limestone was a living thing too, at one point. All of these things have lives I will never understand or experience for myself. And all of it is connected. It makes me feel small, but it also makes me feel less alone. The century-old maple trees along the road and my favorite bur oak in the pasture are with me. The deer grazing in the hayfields are with me. The mushrooms fruiting up through the grass in the morning is with me. The ants swarming the milkweed growing between the concrete patio and the foundation are with me, and the milkweed is too. For this, I am also with them, and thankfully, none of us are alone.
