Kou's capital is called Rakushou? I think that's the first time we heard about that.
People in the city comment somewhat positively on Hakuryuu taking back the throne as the rightful successor after his father, the first emperor Koutoku. They're also wondering what Kouen will do about that though. Fair question.
The Right- and Lefthand generals Tiger + Dragon ossan now support Hakuryuu, like they were loyal to his father, the first emperor.
SO ARE THE AL SARMEN GUYS - which are apparently manipulated by way of Hakuryuu's two metal vessels/djinn.
So, yes, HAKURYUU GOT A SECOND DJINN, residing in his shoulder armour. That makes him the third person in the world after Sinbad and Kouen to conquer more than one dungeon.
Now I wonder if Hakuryuu can manipulate them via Zagan's life magic, or if he needs his second Djinn for that - or both. (or shhhh maybe they just act like he's successfully manipulating them)
Judal says that almost nobody really believes in and follows Hakuryuu by themselves - then what about the two Generals? Are they being manipulated too? And the villagers? It didn't look like it to me.
Once again there's a flashback to refresh our memories of how the Kou empire started under the first Emperor's successful conquest/unification of the east. After a while though, Gyokuen brought Al Sarmen and that's when things turned to shit. Hakutoku was assassinated and the brothers who obviously knew something, were killed a little later.
After Hakutoku's death, Al Sarmen and Gyokuen saw to it that his younger brother Koutoku took over the throne, since Hakuryuu was still a child. (Makes me wonder why Gyokuen didn't take over immediately? But the Kou's throne succession rights elude me...)
That was when Hakuryuu started with his plan to take back the country from Al Sarmen, but had a hard time as the youngest prince who's now become pretty unimportant. We know the rest: he travelled abroad to achieve his own Djinn without Al Sarmen's help and gain the support of Aladdin and Sinbad.
He feels regret for having searched the help of others since they do not understand him anyway... is that why he went back to get Judal's help that he denied for so long?
I've mentioned young Solomon's resemblance to Hakuryuu before, but he looks even more similar to Hakuyuu. That's probably a coincidence but still pretty freaky, considering he's the son of Arba/Gyokuen...
It's a miracle little Hakuryuu didn't die, with almost half of his body covered in 2nd to 3rd degree burns.
I'm also somewhat confused by how the way Hakuryuu talks about Gyokuen, she seems to be still alive at this point. Maybe this chapter takes place -before- he did that but the transition in chapter 241 makes it look like it's the present. Overall, Hakuryuu doesn't seem to have defeated Gyokuen yet (but feels confident)
shake me if I'm sleeping but why exactly does Hakuryuu want to kill Kouen, too...?
I have too much feels! Not just because Hakuryuu and his brothers... because he thinks of his friends and I'm not a Hakumor shipper, but kinda cute that he thinks of Mor too :D Hope they will save him.
