Well it is the 9 year Anniversary of when the MTG Community got to collectively create their 4th card, Waste Not.

And I had posted my idea on Facebook (privately to my friends) but never shared it here and this is what I submitted (note manacost and art hadn't been selected yet and it had to be a mono-black non-creature, non-aura enchantment. I also updated it to modern wording template) :

I still like the design and if I were to do a version today I would make it so there is a build in way to get you to take damage. So here is my updated design.

Still probably busted in eternal formats though.

Might have needed to make it non-land non-artifact.

Topi’s Daily Card #1294:  Indulgent Tormentor

This is honestly one of my favorite demons, because the effect is kind of small and some opponents are more willing to let it slide and let you draw cards.  Of course, it’s not as effective as when you have an opponent who has tons of creatures or a huge life total, but the fact that you can target who you want in order to more guarantee that you’ll get that extra card is pretty neat.  Ability aside, it’s also a fine 5 cmc creature who hits for decent damage, even if they are a little more fragile in the toughness department.  It’s good in nearly any black deck that wants this kind of option, just be wary of people who can take advantage of the choice you give them.
